dr_tooley Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Who is going to open in the 3rd ODI? Well Parthiv is still not in the Country, so the earliest he is playing is Port Elizabeth. Please, please don't open with Virat Kohli. We've already ruined one great No3 - Dravid - by getting him to open. Averaging 50 in ODIs and playing superbly considering he didn't play in the Tests, please, please keep him at 3. Rohit has opened before, although apart from the warm up game in WCT20 against Pakistan, has had no success in that position. And that's kind of about it. My pick with Rohit and put Yusuf Pathan into his prefered slot for the WC. This would leave two dead men walking, certainly in terms of the WC - Vijay and Rohit to open. But I hope this will allow them - particularly Vijay - to relax and try to put together an innings.
