kabira Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 The first phase of the ticket sales will be available primarily online. As a part of the second phase of sale of tickets, they would also be available through retail outlets, travel operators and box office sales. So what I meant was online tickets are gone, now you got to buy through retail outlets and black markerters...
kabira Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 All Indian games phase 1 is sold out except Ireland game in Banglore that has some seats left Phase II booking has not started it will be through retail outlets. Only Bangladesh has begun phase II.

I don't think Brisbane will host a test. I will be in India about that time any way (Dad's 60th), might as well catch a couple of games if I can. Really excited about the series down under... also would love being able to attend all 4 tests at least sat & sun. My new year resolution was to watch sachin live as many times as possible... so planning on hitting up either Eng or WI series... now to find the moolah and leave for that BTW just realised that phase 2 tickets will be not be released online... outlet only :((
kabira Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Any news on when the phase 2 tickets will be released online? I don't think phase 2 will be released for online purchase, you have to get it through retail outlets

kabira Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 As you may know already, the tickets for the upcoming cricket World Cup 2011 are being sold in 2 Phases. While tickets are still available under Phase 1 for some matches between low profile countries, fans have to wait for the Phase 2 tickets for few high profile matches, such as this one between India and England at Eden gardens Kolkata. The first phase of tickets went on sale from June last year and the second phase will open in a few days from now. While Phase 1 tickets have been only available Online, Phase 2 tickets will be (mostly) available Offline (retail sale), primarily via Bank outlets. In Bangladesh, one of the hosts, the Phase 2 tickets went on sale at Citi Bank branches very recently and all tickets were sold off in few hours. http://www.sriraj.org/needs/icc-world-cup-phase-2/ Frequently Asked Questions When do tickets for ICC World Cup 2011 go on sale?
