yoda Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? Damnnn..........you guys went and edited the header. It was all in good fun. See y'all later. TBP, c'mon, you can do better than that. Yes the thread is a good one, but the title definitely off. Sachin averages 28 in his last 10 tests which means he is producing at 50% of his career average. This is not acceptable. Worrying fact is that he hasn't yet hit any kind of form this tour. Few good strokes here and there won't cut it. I believe RD will come reasonably good here. Need to have atleast 2 of SRT, VVS and Gangs to play above their career averages for us to have a chance.
The_Black_Prince Posted December 11, 2006 Author Posted December 11, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? Actually Yody........I don't agree re the title.........the thread was intended to take a light-hearted look at Sachin's ponderous progress thru this SA tour. You guys are way too sensitive. BTW Yody...........what happens if Sachin averages 28 in the 3 tests ?? Anything ???? And........what also interests me is that all of the Indian commentators are critcizing the team, but steering well clear of criticizing Sachin directly............will that change if Sachin continues with his 28 average in this tour ??
yoda Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? It depends on who does worse than him. If he is the worst peformer of all, which I doubt, there will be calls for him to be dropped (as always). But in the minds of Indian selectors and most fans, there is always hope that he will turn it around. He has been doing reasonably well in ODIs and the hope is that he finds his form in tests as well.
The_Black_Prince Posted December 11, 2006 Author Posted December 11, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? Yeah..........I think that is the feeling. Give him the chance to find his form OR to call it a day. Though it could rub raw on the nerves of Indian fans if he continues with the mediocrity much longer.
kabira Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? >Though it could rub raw on the nerves of Indian fans if he continues with the mediocrity much longer. if we lose, than ofcourse..its given..it will be disaster..if Sachin doesnt score.. If we win, doesnt matter if Sachin scores or not..winning will heal all issues..
The_Black_Prince Posted December 11, 2006 Author Posted December 11, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? Winning will definitely cover the wounds (temporarily), but I don't see that happening. I think that the best that India can hope for is to reduce the loss to 1 or 2-0. BTW, I think that Ganguly will perform very well.
kabira Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? >I think that the best that India can hope for is to reduce the loss to 1 or 2-0. Durban Test is gone...I dont see us winning...may be we can draw....if we can play well in 1st Test... Jo'berg Test is the one we can win...... SA doesnt have great batting either..too much dependent on Kallis...
gs Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? I can concur! Durban test is as good as gone unless rain gods decide to intervene :) The best hope for India is to win at Jo'burg and play out a draw in the other one. Use all possible negative tactics like bowling outside the leg stump, bowling underarm, murali-esque runouts or whatever it takes - but please dont lose 3-0!!!
Predator_05 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? Though it could rub raw on the nerves of Indian fans if he continues with the mediocrity much longer. Already has...
King Tendulkar Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? Gangs will do jack like he did for the 4 years before he was booted out of the team. Gangs will not get one 50 in whole series.
maatugaara Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? ^^ now thats unfair... why not just wait and see?? but to b very pessimist...no one looks like scoring...er...other then pathan....and he wont b in the team.. umm but i will take 49 runs by 8 of them anytime.. :hic:
King Tendulkar Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? Not being pessimist just realist. Some people seem to be excpecting gangs to be a saviour. He was dropped cos he was batting awful for number of years. He then when got dropped had a poor year with bat. He is now 34 and could never play pace and bounce in his pomp let alone now. Hate to smash peoples rose tinted view of gangs and his recall, but his selection is a joke which will be shown after the series is out. p.s hope he does not run anyone out and let ball through legs as he did when younger let alone now when he is old man.
maatugaara Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? his selection is a step backward nodoubt.....and he did little to get back his place...and when he fails in the series we will have a lot to say abt his selection.. but since he is playing for us again...i wish him the very best, just i wish all of them.. and abt the runout part.... but if u r right..he wont last long to run out anyone..
beetle Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? some one post miss laura pic...that will teach princy... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
The_Black_Prince Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 Re: Will Sachin score some runs ?? Look Radiks and everyone else........."Laura" is water off a duck's back, as far as I am concerned. I really could not care less about the man.
