vishalvirsingh Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 it is kind of clear that it will be a 2:2 attack now..and it seems that MUNAF and NEHRA are in HORRIBLE FORM. MUNAF: less said is better, watson who was defensive played him like a spinner and i would be the happiest Man if Munaf does not make to the INDIA eleven in the world Cup. declare Him UNFIT and replace him with Mithun Abhimanyu. Nehra: He is no where near his best, he bowls for 5 yards to open INDIA Pace Attack in a world cup warm up match...bowling horribly no pace and hardly even accurate...replace him with Umesh YADAV at the earliest. Sreesanth is bowling OK..though he should also improve..he and ZAK should play.
vishalvirsingh Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 Anyone except :--D dont u agree nehra and Munaf deserve to declare themselves as unfit and create space for Mithun and Umesh if they Love INDIA....
Sid Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 dont u agree nehra and Munaf deserve to declare themselves as unfit and create space for Mithun and Umesh if they Love INDIA.... I agree :cantstop:
gaurav92 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Zaheer (if fit) and Sreesanth or Munaf, but I will still be inclined to go in with Munna
vishalvirsingh Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 Zaheer (if fit) and Sreesanth or Munaf' date=' but I will still be inclined to go in with Munna[/quote'] Munna is not a pace bowler in india, he is playing just bcos he was getting good bounce in africa and was bowling atleast at 128k to 130K..in india he is a 110-115K bowler though with a bit iof steady length...he is much slower than even praveen today and hence calling him a pace bowler is a shame... did u see watson hositing him like a spinner ...do u see his analysis in warmup 2 overs none for 25 against aus and 3 overs 35 odd runs against lowly New zealand...what wud good batsmen do against him in world cup, he will never ball 6 overs in a match if he gets to play. Sree is a fighter and he has the capability to bounce back.. he shud play ahead of munaf and nehra and i wud be delighted if india gets these 2 bowlers to retire as Indian pace attack is very POOR now with 2 ballers who are under 120K (nehra and Munna) , ZAK's fitness uncertain and only one guy who is fit and can ball at 130 + on indian grounds thats sreesanth...Note this. Indian pace attack has 2 slow bowlers ( not even accurate), and zak's fitness is a concern. india may need to play with 3 spinners and 1 Pacer at some stage in this world cup.
vishalvirsingh Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 I agree :cantstop: Munna got selected just bcos he cud get some bounce in african conditions... i can say for sure that had umesh played in africa , he would have been in the world cup team today bcos he would have bowled well and succeeded and india pace boaling worries wud have been much less. why did they bring back these old retired pacers back..Nehra and Munaf are no more young, neither they have the swing and reverse swing skills of ZAK that India has no choice but to play them. pace attack means Hardwork..Hardwork can be done by energetic LEGS and strong shoulders..... DO U GUYS KNOW that NEHRA has the weakest LEGS in the world cup..Munaf has week legs , weak shoulder , weak body frame ..i dont know why they did not retire.

Looks like we saw different warm up games. Munaf bowled just 3 overs for 19 against NZ and owled just 2 overs for 22 against Aus. Fair enough he didn't bowl well, but can we draw our conclusions by just two warm up games ? Surely not. In fact in those two games, Sree and Nehra were taken to the cleaners as well. All our pace bowlers are getting smashed, so does it mean, we play in with only spinners ? My gut feeling is that Munaf will be a better bowler than the likes of Nehra and Sreesanth. And about your pace theories, I am just clueless :hysterical: I mean, how can you say that He bowled 128-130k in SAF where conditions suited the bowlers and will not bowl more than 115-120 k in India since the condition doesn't suit him ? What logic is that ? Does pace goes down when there is not much assistance in the track ? I am not sure if that happens, unless its a variation slower one. And regarding your final call I you , I think going in with one pacer is really the last thing India would be doing. We need two pacers at least and FFS don't even bother replying, unless its in the affirmative.

Are you the team physio :hmmm:
gaurav92 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 how do you know that?? vishalvirsingh Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 how do you know that?? Are you the team physio :hmmm: I met an ex Player recently , a player who has played with Nehra ..i dont wanna name him now , he told me that nehra always keeps ICE Packs ready and all the time his legs are in ICE PACKS even if his legs are good and healthy still they are in ICE PACKS and under treatment. Speak to any player who has played with him , he will let u know. About MUNAF..when he runs he will follow the ball till it crosses the bounday and will pick it up when it stops fielding abilities of nehra and Munaf...all of u know i do not need to say how good they are ...even my Corpoorate company team which i lead.. i feel i have better fielders then them. these 2 guys score a 1 on 10 on fielding and a 1 on 10 on Batting...

Rating bowlers in every department other than bowling. Terrific job, keep going
zaheer Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Heard somewhere that the team management had asked the Pacers not to go flat out in the warm ups to avoid injuries..

Terrific job' date=' keep going [/quote'] Gaurav..... if u r reading my comments I have already given my remarks about their bowling in so many sentences ... at present i do not think they are better then 3/10 on bowling...both of them..MUNAF and Nehra. Srreesanth is 6/10 and ZAK is 7 if he is fit enough.
