achilles Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 oh yeah!! I thought it was like 2-3 years of consistent performances from Raina :hmmm: Yuvraj on current batting form would'nt even stand against Raina/Kohli/Yusuf. Its just because of his bowling that he's even being considered now - and that says a lot about someone who used to be one of the best and most destructive ODI batsmen a few years ago. Yes. But isn't Yuvraj allowed to have a bad patch? C'mon. Everyone has it. Even Sachin had it.
HowardRoark Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 If there is anyone out there who thinks Raina should be replacing Yuvraj' date=' may God bless him immensely, for he is special and needs a lot of love and care.[/quote'] Now that RJ and Rohit are into oblivion, Dhoni silenced his doubters with the brute innings, Raina took their place as your new downguy?? And you just can't live without a downguy, can you? :--D
Sir_Afridi Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Ideally Dhoni should drop Yuvi and play both.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Yes. But isn't Yuvraj allowed to have a bad patch? C'mon. Everyone has it. Even Sachin had it. but this bad patch has been going on for far too long.
Ram Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Correction, Dhon is not hinting, He's TELLING. How more blunt could he be? The only other thing he could possibly do was to wave the playing XI for the first match in front of the media..! :hysterical: Its clear as daylight that they chosen to go for the in-form player, at least to start with the tournament. They’re simply too afraid at the prospect of carrying potentially 3 near-out-of-touch batsmen in the middle order and at the same, dropping the joint ODI batsmen of the year 2010 (along with Amla), from the team. Plus, Virat’s extremely impressive professional approach to chases seems to have completely bowled them over. They seem to have tried their BEST to retain Raina, but finally seem to have baulked.
Sidhoni Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 we cant afford to go in with Yuvi given his current form, Raina is also going through a bad patch, but yesterday, his innings was phenomenal. Dropping Kohli wud be a BIG,BIG mistake.
Ranjha Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Except for a few sentimental Raina fans who doesnt know the difference betweena batsman and an allrouder, this was quite expected in the cricketing circles and te only Logical decision. The replacement for Yuvi will be Ravindrra Jadeja and I will rather play Yuvi over Jadeja in any form any day. So a very logical and smart decision. Yuvi must play since he also brings EXPERIENCE of playing in big matches and WORLDCUPS.

Ranjha Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 ^^Only thing it sums up is the value of Yuvraj Singh as an allrounder in the team and how he is a must. The next best odi allrounder in India is Ravindera Jadeja.tells you the quality of Indian allrounders.... then some ppl with no cricketing knowledge about team combinations and such ask for Yuvi to be dropped....Completely Laughable.
spectre Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 sums up the some of the lunatic Yuvi fans, specially this crack :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: One can never insult Yuvi is a better way than this. yoda Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Seems like a good move given Kohli's and Yousuf's form. Raina is a big match player, when it comes to crunch games I hope Kohli and Yousuf don't choke to make this choice worthwhile.
Ranjha Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 ^^ Spectre How about you scroll and read my responseto it rather than nit picking. It only explains why raina is not in the team even in better batting form than Yuvi...India lacks allrounder and Yuvi is doing a great job as a bowler and if he strike with the bat, Raina will look like a little school boy in front of his master Yuvraj singh
Jersey #10 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 We will regret dropping Raina. If that happens
Ranjha Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 ^^ No we won't at all. It will happen as Dhoni already said it....in 2 days-;)
Ranjha Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I mean it will be nice if he could play but there is no spot for him as of now....sorry Depending on the form of other players, he might get in later.
spectre Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Raina is still in the team, an important member and the best player @ No.6 Its just because Kohli and Yusuf has had better form recently, they are considered over him. Raina would still play at No.6, Kohli or Yusuf would make way for him. Yuvraj was always a certainty in ODIs, atleast in my books. Why do you get so insecure abt Yuvi loosing his place to Raina :cantstop: ^^ Spectre How about you scroll and read my responseto it rather than nit picking. Ranjha Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Lol I am not insecure abt Yuvraj...you must be joking...Dhoni says yuvraj is playing and evenhas bigger plans to move him up the order as series progresses..no reasongot me to be insecure...why are you and your fellow Raina fan so insecure?..I just write to help the lunatic Raina fans see the reality...Raina is a good player but better players will start in playing xi and depending on the form, he may get in a look later in the wc games.
Jersey #10 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 ^^ No we won't at all. It will happen as Dhoni already said it....in 2 days-;) kid you sound despo....wtf is wrong with you? stop acting as if you are a team selector Raina can bowl when needed so for me I hope Raina gets selected over Kohli
Sid Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Raina and Yuvi fans going after each other :hysterical:
Ranjha Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I am not despo and how old are you to call me a kid? I am not a team selector. When the captain is saying one thing, why are you making up your team and playing Raina in it. Do you know more than Dhoni? So tell me who is playing team selector here? Lol I can only sense your desperation when you talk about rains bowling..are you saying Raina is a better bowler than Yuvraj? Hahahaha
