satyam1729 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 It was just a joke , common guys why you take it to head and get defensive , just because INDIA could not beat England on a custom made pitch to suit India doesnt mean India will prepare bouncy wickets , Graemme made a joke and if you cannot see it than i dont know. Yes we have not won a world cup , maybe India board must make a 7 match or 5 match ODI series in INdia than you will see how SA win the series than , because all the BCCI do is make 2 or 3 match ODI series whenever in India. SA has played lots of tri series in India and as usual they choked in finals. We have given them so many chance.
King Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Looking forward to this game, hope it's a close encounter too and India doesn't tie this time around. This should be a good game of cricket considering both know each other's strengths and weaknesses quite a bit as they have played against each other recently. Going by the recent series, it will be blow for blow and that is exactly how a clash of good teams should be.
NareshK Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I will hate Indian curators forever if they dont prepare a turning track. South Africa dished out nothing but the bounciest and deadliest wickets when India toured there. Its time for payback. At least, I hope so.
DomainK Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I think the bad performance against England will turn out a blessing in disguise. The team will be more alert, the bowlers will now put in the extra effort and no one will be complacent even against weak teams, even when the opposition is down. Taste of failure can inspire one to win. And now with Smith and others tauting India, they will be fired up for the rest of the tournament.
Ranjha Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Let's bring on a turner and roll Sa for under 100.
ganeshran Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I think Smith is trying to play mind games here to avoid the curators preparing a spin friendly pitch. If it turns he can always use that as an excuse.

What miond games , lol , surely the indian curators will not listen to smith or whoever makes comments , if they do than they are weak. bujjigadu I will hate Indian curators forever if they dont prepare a turning track. At least, I hope so. yes now we got 3 spinners to counter the turning track in India , and dont forget Steyn and morkel to maybe get a wicket here and there , oh and we have the best ODI batsmen in the world at the moment .

Yeah didn't India score 400 against the same attack .And btw your spinners are over-hyped. You will see how they are thrashed.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 oh and we have the best ODI batsmen in the world at the moment . since when has Virat Kohli started playing for South Africa :hmmm:
satyam1729 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 since when has Virat Kohli started playing for South Africa :hmmm: Amla is at no.1 rankings.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Amla is at no.1 rankings. no1 in rankings does not mean that he's the best in the World. Amla has been very consistent but Kohli has been better in the last year or so IMO.
Watson87 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 no1 in rankings does not mean that he's the best in the World. Amla has been very consistent but Kohli has been better in the last year or so IMO. Amla is better than Kohli. Rankings does matter.
yoda Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Not too worried about the league stage. Also, with our bowling, better not worry much. :hehe:
Patriot_Nikhil Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Not too worried about the league stage. Also' date=' with our bowling, better not worry much. :hehe:[/quote'] More like, no use worrying... It is what it is... On Smith's comments: Nice jab, clever...
jibranpatel15 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Yeah didn't India score 400 against the same attack .And btw your spinners are over-hyped. You will see how they are thrashed. Excuse me please !!!! are u sure about the attack was same ?????????Check it out here please. And we will see how much INDIA score this time around
satyam1729 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 ^^^ Yeah India is afraid of Tahir, Botha and pietersen .
Fontaine Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Smith is right. What's wrong with preparing pitches that suit our bowlers?
Prudent Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Smith is right. What's wrong with preparing pitches that suit our bowlers? He knows that SAF can't survive in spin track...so an early bail petition :cantstop:
Chaos Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 why should we take offense to this? show this to our bowlers... "they will say oh well, lets just party and show up for the game, our batsman will do the job".
