RedFlow Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Well before 29/9... 267/1 happened which is more than enough to beat some crappy teams in the group A. We didn't have Tendu against Australia the leading run scorer of the world cup :finger: . Aussies were clueless against a bowler that got demolished even by associate side. How bad they would be.. ofcourse not as bad as a team that couldn't bat more than 43 overs agianst Canada. That's stupid. Well, if it was 0/1 then all team would be out on 29? Did you miss your chase against IRE and NED? Dockrell and Seelar??? Remember???? I am here talking about Australia not Pakistan. I am sure you don't want to face them in QF!
Ashraful_Rox Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Happened against one of the best teams in the world in a match we lost with two balls to spare. On the other hand your sorry team conceded 93 runs in 4 overs and were thrashed by a team that lost to Bangladesh 4-0! :hysterical: Are you laughing at our team Bangladesh? or New Zealand?

This team went through many troubles and problems. We are not hosting any matches. We are not getting any support from any other board. It will be a loss to cricket if Pakistan goes down! NZ, WI, BD are already down!!! Then what you have? India, Aus, SA, SriLanka and England??? World cup of 5 teams??? Even England is getting players from outside. Well your team after scoring a 338 couldn't win against a team who lost to Bangladesh, Ireland and had a close win against NED. South Africa lost to England Your team is still searching for a win against test nation.
RedFlow Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Are you laughing at our team Bangladesh? or New Zealand? None of them! At Pakistan!

jibranpatel15 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Australia: Everyone knows how they are going this worldcup. What was intresting was yesterday's game against Canada where they were 62/1 on 6 overs. If a good team reaches this stage with 1 wicket down there is no way its gonna peg down like Canada. Even 50/1 in 6 overs is more than enough. I feel they will beat Pakistan & loose the Quarter final to England to whom they won ODI series 6-1 recently. Their bowling looks retarded after LEE. Their batting misses spark if Watson is out early. Ponting can't score runs even against Canada&Kenya. Clarke has got some starts this WC but he has a tendency that when team needs he does't spark. Only positive from all these matches Australia have got is the recall of M.Hussey. He can win them matches on his own. I don't trust any1 else in Australia's playing XI. And Unbeaten is that they have beaten only NZ match against SL was washed out. Had that match was played this thread wouln't have been created. SL were 142/3 on a turning track woth 3 Spinners in playing XI of Sri Lanka were there.
pinkfreud Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Australia is unbeaten because they were lucky to have a rained out match against SL. All other matches they've won have been against weaker teams (NZ at the time wasn't doing well, and they also had the additional burden of the earthquake just a day before that match). Australia's true test will come in the later stages. Their potential in this tourney can't be judged on the basis of the matches they've played so far. Their bowling has been rusty at best.
