I think Inzamam and Wasim were the sole reasons why they won, Imran should give credit to them, also someone told me that he never mentioned about the team and in his presentation after the final it was "I I I" the guy doesn't deserve all these praises. firstly, u have lost your mind and secondly Imran did realise after that he didnt mention his team, but so what, he didnt take any credit for the win, EVERYONE knows that, including his team mates. Because they were all united, nobody cared about being mentioned in the speech or not! LET IT GO!!:giggle:
Number Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Before semi-finals in the show "kings of cricket" ,, he was asked about who will be in the finals , he said Pakistan and Srilanka .. then they asked him .. what makes you feel like that ? . he said "ham ek match me bilkul haar hi gaye the to salim malik ne hame jita diya .. ek baar aise hi aakib javed ne hame jitaya ,, jabki wo koi khaas bowler tha hi nhi .. bas isiliye mujhe lagta hai ki ham jitenge" .for me thats too patriotic to be an analyst. sometimes everyone laughs over him and he doesn't even realize that. I feel channels invite him because they think one stupid who thinks keep praising your team makes you more patriot , will add to the show.

As far as our bowling is concerned its just not bad. Its in top 5 , if pakistani bowling is in top 3.

Imran would have been long forgotten. I still remember how damn lucky they were to make it to the WC semi-finals in 92. One lousy point because of rain for a match that they were definitely gonna lose. That 1 point qualified them over Aus.

Number Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 I feel our bowlers did pretty well in test against SA , we dominated proteas through out test series except first 2 days of tour. That was all because of our Bowling . In ODI our bowlers won us 2 matches , in last 2 matches they did pretty ok . it was just completely inexpirienced batting line up , with out of form yuvi and dhoni that coasted us series. Its a shame they never get credit they deserve. In WC their laziness or casualness in the start against bangaldesh and england was over hyped. Anyway we bounced back and won , and now haters are finding it hard how to criticize us.. so they are coming up with pretty much lame reasons. As lame as Imran khan's sense.

Tests-Imran had a bowling avg of 22 Kapil 30+(with an awful SR) Imran had a batting avg of 37,Kapil 31 odd ODIs- Imran is still much better(check the stats 31,26 vs 23,29(bat,bowl) i guess) but it is a lot closer. Overall Imran>>Kapil.
