pinkfreud Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 @ Zap: Wahab's spell made all the difference, if you ask me, especially when Pak's main strike bowler Umar Fool got pwned. Given the start Sehwag and Sachin gave us, we were looking at a 300+ score till Wahab wrecked our middle order.
Zap_Brannigan Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 @ Zap: Wahab's spell made all the difference, if you ask me, especially when Pak's main strike bowler Umar Fool got pwned. Given the start Sehwag and Sachin gave us, we were looking at a 300+ score till Wahab wrecked our middle order. His spell made the difference between a 300+ score and a 260 score. But 260 was more than enough on this pitch. When pak was batting, they were never in the game. RR reqd. kept climbing up and was over 6 within the 1st 20 overs. It was doable, sure, but they were never in front. The end results, although was by just 29 runs, it was never close. If Wahab had got India for a 220 score, then he deserves it but not for a winnable 260.Or atleast if Pakistan stayed in the race till the last few overs, then it would have been his MOM, but it looked like a one-sided contest barring a miracle knock by either Razzaq or Afridi.
rkt.india Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 They could have shared. But from an indian perspective Viru and Raina were crucial too. Simon hughes went one step ahead and said Raina should have been given. From an individual perspective Wahab was the best. Probably for sentimental reasons Tendulkar picked up the MOM award. right
vaibhav_delhi Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 srt should have been the MoM primarily bcoz india won
