Sreesanth likely to replace Nehra in final

I understand sports. Unlike some of you if you read my posts I was the first one asking for 3 pacers . Guess whtat the results were. Think before you comment on sports.
We won against a better team that didn't self-destruct with just 2 pacers. But it doesnt even matter because its not the number of pacers or spinners but who the bowlers are. Or do you think that Sreesanth will bowl well because Nehra did last time? Maybe you do.

Where were those games placed? What were the variables? You know so little about sports that you are applying some math formulas where the variables you clearly dont comprehend. :finger: Next time you show me that sign I will tell you exactly where to shove it.
Oh ****!!How in the fking world did you say Sreesanth will do well today. Why dont you prove that first. Sreesanth went for 50 runs in 5 overs against BD in the WC. Ashwin, not so much. That is proof enough for me. If you can prove otherwise, i will back Dhoni's decision to play Sreesanth. Now, prove it. All your talk "Oh i understand sports", sounds inane and if you like to shove strange objects into another mans *******, do it somewhere else.

You prove my point. Why did we win against this team? You seem like a legend in your mind why dont you figure it out. Everytime you write something it tells me how little you know.

But you are sure Ashwin will deliver. Maybe some divine power talks to you. Seems like you have developed a lot of e-courage over here. Quoting meaningless stats prove that you can quote meaningless stats.

Sree has given us enuf samples to prove that he has no control. Ashwin in the limited chances has shown he has good control, take an early wicket, can open the bowling in PP thereby allowing Zak to come back with the old ball.

I wasnt planning on shoving it. I was going to recommend where you shove it. I dont believe in violence. Against my religious beliefs.

Ashwin sample size is limited in this world cup. Plus SL play spin batter so Sree could potentially do real good.

Now i understand. Sorry for doubting your analytical reasoning.

joking? have you seen this guy bowl in ODIs? it's no joke when your opening bowler has a career RPO over 6 and no he doesn't take 3/4 wickets every ODI either. In short he is cr@p in ODIs. In tests, his randomness can be handled as there is enough time for him to settle down. In ODIs, by the time he settles down, the game is over.

These comments against Sree are crazy. If people dont want him fine but dont go around saying he gets injured. Wishing someone bad health and injury tells me lot of people dont know anything about sports. How can anyone say that against any Indian (or anyother)player is beyond my comprehension.

Yes Sree CAN be good, but it is a HUGE risk which we don't have to take. It doesn't mean Ashwin won't get tonked, but personally i would go with the less risky option. Than again, thankfully, our captain with the midas touch will be making the call for all of us. :winky:

of course not ,his last 10 odi performances have been good compared to his peers playing ,Anybody who plays at this level has control its his mindset.

No one can say for sure but I am assuming it based that SL struggles against pace attack. He can come against the middle order but I think he will do the job.

right. Ashwin's carrom balls won't do any good against these guys who face murali and mendis in the nets.

Nehra's injury is a blessing in disguise. I'm not taking anything away from his performance against Pakistan the other day, he was brilliant but he is never 100 % fit. Playing in hot and humid conditions in Mumbai just a couple of days after a mentally and physically draining Semi final against Pakistan would be too much for him. In fact, more than his injury his fitness would have been the major concern for playing him in the final. About whether to play Ashwin/Sreesanth, it would definitely depend on the track. Sreesanth has a temperament problem but he has the ability to bowl those lethal deliveries which other than Zaheer, nobody in our bowling attack has. His first few overs will be crucial. If he gets his line and length right, then I think he will be okay. Dhoni should try and get as many overs out of him on the trot. Ashwin on the other hand, from what I've seen is a mentally tough bowler. But Sri Lanka is very good against spinners and you cant fool them with variations as most of their bowlers like Mendis and Randiv are already experts at that. They may go against him early on but then again there is a good chance of picking wickets early on. I think whoever plays has a good chance of coming good for India. Let's hope everything works out.:two_thumbs_up:
