Selection procedure needs tinkering. THey should find new methods. Every team in the world pick the performers from the first class. I think we have to pick bunch of top players and get everyone together and provide some kind of setup where they can showcase their skills. What kind of a set up. I don't know. But they can try something like that.

temperament and guts play huge role when we go abroad. Gambhir proved in last test match. That was one of his best gutsy knocks. We need characters like that who are willing to tough it out. Virat, Pujara, Raina, Rahane etc have the recipe and talent, but can they succeed consistently we will only know when we play them. And do not expect them to start scoring runs from first game. Remember it took a while for Laxman to be seasoned pro. Not everyone is Sachin or Dravid.

steyn's outswingers too good for him this time. steyn bowled him with an inswinger in nagpur.so he was trying to set vijay up with the surprise ball coming in again. that could be the reason for his hesitation in leaving.

Remember during Australia's era of domination when the crowds would not even cheer for an innings victory for their own side, they would rather watch a closely fought game. As it is i don't think India are anywhere near domination yet, aging batting lineup in tests and no great bowling prospects which is essential for domination. But the question still stands, would you like to see India dominate?

Of course we'd like to see India dominate and are we not hearing about the aging batting line up since last 5 years and impotent bowling line up since infinity? Even then we are number one in tests since last 16 months and have won the world cup now. Of course the BCCI is the biggest challege that our team faces because of the ridiculous schedules that it finalises for us. This is the biggest hurdle which I'm afraid might defeat us.
