To which there is a very short answer: "no". The obvious follow-up question is "Did the ICC think this through?". Answers of one word or less should be directed to Malcolm Speed. well your right and the Duckworth Lewis system doesn't know when teams are going to use a power play and how many wickets in hand they will have when the power play is taken, and the amount of runs scored during a power play is usually different then that of the rest of the match and i don't think that is taken into account. so maybe you will need to make a new formula taking all of this into account, lol

Both were rested for the ongoing five-match one-day international series against West Indies following Pakistan's loss in the World Cup semifinals to India. According to Daily Times, the team will be led by Misbah-ul-Haq who has already proved his captaincy in the Test matches after the spot-fixing scandal. The only surprise was the exclusion of Adnan Akmal, who has been the Test wicketkeeper in charge after his elder brother Kamran Akmal lost his place in spot-fixing scandal. The series beginning on May 12, has its first match scheduled at Guyana and the second match at St. Kitts. Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq seem good prospects in the test side He doesn't usually go on to make big scores, but the thing about him is he handles the new ball, so even he is out after say 9-10 overs others can find it easy to settle

The flat tracks of Dubai, then yeah he had to go to NZ but NZ is ranked pretty low, the less said about the WI the better, and than ZIM is up next. Both openers (Hafeez and Taufeeq) are kind of series by series for now. Hafeez gives that 5th bowling option but he lacks the temperament for test cricket.

What is Pakistan's calendar like for the next year? I think there is a series against England in the winter but haven't heard about any top series before that.
