Am I the only one, who even now (after 2 weeks) pumps his fist in the air and say yes everytime I think about the world cup ? When ever I think about the Semi finals and finals...a broad smile comes to my face. The feeling is just amazing and Sachin getting his world cup is just special. I want this feeling to last as long as possible. :yay::yay::yay:

I wish there was a gap between the World Cup and the IPL for a month or so just to let the victory feeling linger among the fans and the players themselves. I also felt as if the celebrations were not that great. This is the World Cup and maybe the last one for Sachin and nobody knows when India will win again. The team played so well and under pressure and expectations from fans but when they finally did it, people were like 'ok fine, world cup is over. Let's move on to the IPL.' I feel as if the players feel a little cheated somewhere because the reaction would have been really bad if they had lost.

actually in a way it is good that the Indian team is moving on to other ventures quickly. I don't want them to revel in complacency after the world cup win for months before they realize.. one important win does not mean they can drop their guard and be surprised by losses.

Am I the only one... Having invested so much on WC emotionally, I don't feel like watching any other cricket. No other contest is as engrossing. IPL seems forced. Waiting for the Eng series now.

Yes indeed ...like your footnote says GREEN BAY PACKERS WINNING SUPER BOWL was dream come true and INDIA winining world cup 2011 was possibly the best thing that happened in long long time...just don't want to spoil it by talking about trash IPL matches. YEAR 2011 will be foundly remembered just like the golden summer of 83.

Yes 2 teams that I hold very very very dear to my heart -- Packers and Team India. What are the chances of both winning the World Championships the same year? 2011 must be something special. When Packers won in 97 I missed their parade -- I wasnt going to -- this year -- I flew down to Lambeau -- and savored every moment of it at 0 degree farenheit. Well Team India -- I intend on seeing them somewhere -- possibly WI -- at the 1st ODI. -- Lets see how that goes.

Same here !!!! My two dear teams won. I got my masters from Auburn University. They won the national championshim and India won the WC.....by this rate I will be betting on MI to win IPl and Real Madrid to win champions league !!!
