nsareen Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Ishant at 152.2 Closing on Varun Aaron It seems that Varun Aaron has competition, Ishant Sharma bowled one of the most HOSTILE spells ive seen him bowl since 2008, maybe even better. He was unplayable today with such hostility that his 2nd over was 90% 150+ kmph, that has to be something, even if the pitch had anything to do with it. Steyns fastest on the same pitch was 150.8 and ishant went above 151 atleast 6 times in a 4 over spell. On the other hand gony had average speeds around 135kmph, i dont know if its the speed guns or the pitch or whatever, he looked really good ,not the pathetic one we have been used to seeing. saneindian Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Even Gony hit 140s a few times and got the ball to move. The pitch though had some good bounce and encouraged some bowling. Hopefully Deccan mamangement ensure this type f a pitch for rest of the matches too helping Ishant to continue his good rhythm. Ishant bowling quick (140+) in good rhythm, getting the ball to bounce off good length and do something off the pitch will make our test attack that much more potent.
