1) Iqbal Abdulla : Allrounder 2) Ravindra Jadeja : Allrounder 3) S. Nadeem : Allrounder 4) B Bhatt : Bowler 5) Yuvraj Singh : Allrounder 6) Murali Karthik : Bowler 7) Ali Mutaza : Allrounder 8) Pragyan Ojha : Strictly Bowler Who do you feel would come out trumps in the battle of the "Lefties" ?? And who has the potential to have a future with India except Yuvraj, he is mainly a batsman, not exactly in this category ???

IPL doesn't matter much if you want to discuss the future of SLA bowlers in India's real cricket, ie, test cricket.. or even 50 over cricket because performance in IPL is no benchmark for gauging talent for tests or ODIs. Still the only SLA spinner who has showed promise in the longer format is Pragyan Ojha. Abdullah and Jadeja can be given chance in ODIs. Thats all. It is my opinion.

The OP has missed out the most promising one of them all- Nayan Doshi (Dileep Doshi's son). He was with RCB...no idea which team has got hold of him now. But he was a classic SLA bowler. Most impressive of the the newbies.

None has been that impressive till now but I would still give benefit of doubt to Ojha. Seriously speaking, Mishra has been outclassing Ojha this IPL and that is quite surprising. Ojha seems to be terribly low on form and confidence.

Jadeja has found his batting touch... bowling is OK but batting is GOOD. Carted Murtaza for 20 runs in one over. Till then Murtaza had bowled good 3 overs
