Who cares abt that six now?? We are world champions:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
Second that. But I cannot forget the Chennai test and loss against Zim in 1999 WC for some reasons. Olango's last spell still haunts me. :nervous:

Pakistan dominated India for almost 2 decades after that.
In that case, 5-0 thrashing in World Cup matches should haunt Pakistan fans for the rest of their lives.

Miandad six is famous because that victory had a psychological effect on the Indian team. Pakistan dominated India for almost 2 decades after that.
Balls. Pakistan won more matches than India in 90s because they had a stronger team. We are winning now because India ha a stronger team.. All this psychological effect is pure BS

It happened in 1986. 2 decades.. mean that would put you at 2006. Sehwag 309 happened in 2004. Jadejas onslaught happened in 1996. Ironically the same miandad was the reason you lost both 1992 and 1996 world cup match to India. He was going at snail's pace in both matches. You represent 99% of the pakistan fans. A dumb, idiotic cricket illiterate who chest thumps without achieving anything worthwhile

blah blah, 2 decades blah blah blah. pakistan was indeed a better team in the 90s but things changed in the noughties. It was neck and neck after that and in the past 5 years or so india has pulled away. its just sad to see the paki fans live in the past and make up things as they go. pathetic really

Well if that were so how couldn't you guys beat us in the tourney that counts (world cup) for "almost 2 decades" :haha: Or how come India has won Asia Cup 5 times and Pak only once? For the so called "domination over 2 decades" I don't see anything you have done.

I don't know why all the Indians here are dissing Pakistan for, it's your player who said he is haunted by what happened. Chetan Sharma is still haunted, he's an Indian not a Pakistani, so why not diss him? It's the usual garbage from members on this site, don't like a comment made and so spew out venomous drivel about Pakistan. The topic is about one 6 in a match 25 years ago, not about 92 or 96 or Prasad vs Sohail etc. Why not discuss the topic at hand?

Up until that game both sides were pretty even in overall stats. But there Pakistan started to pull away, in fact they ended up so far ahead of India in ODI stats, it may take another 20 years for you to draw level in that regard, depending on how often they play each other and more importantly if India can keep beating Pakistan. I know that Pakistan have lost to India in World cups, but after this last performance in the semi final, most people outside of India agree that Pakistan were trying their hardest to lost that game or alternatively not win it. Afridi joking and laughing at the end and the likes of Misbah laughing after dropping Tendulkar are pretty blatent signs that Pakistan didn't care about the game. What I do know is that on a helpful surface the last time Pak played vs India (Karachi 2006) a young Mohammed Asif ripped to shreads the mighty Indian line up. It's all fine and dandy for this powerful Indian line up to hit attacks for fun on flat track small boundaries, but when the pitch is split evenly for bowlers and batsmen, they were ruthlessly exposed. ODI and T20s are mickey mouse events, it's test cricket that really counts and you can have the world cup, you can have the next 5 world cups, provided we win the next 5 Test Series'.

This is a forum to discuss cricket and comments/articles about cricket. The folks are simply stating that for THEM (the fans) the so called "scarring" wasn't as deep as it was made out to be - case in point India's dominance over Pakistan in world cups and most of the major/important clashes. and they are simply sharing their perspective. I don't see any "garbage" or "venomous drivel" targeted against Pakistan anywhere. Mind you stating fact like India pawned Pakistan in most of the important & high profile games is a fact and not "garbage" or "drivel". I don't really understand why you have your panties in a twist as I don't see any comment in this thread that can be termed as "venomous drivel"... maybe it's coz truth hurts and you can only fall back on something that happened 25 years back to make you happy :haha:

It happened well before my time watching cricket anyway, but I agree that its effect has been way exaggerated by the padosis. Pak was a better team than India in the 90's hence their superior record - no more to it. The fact that we've always beaten them in the World Cup (even in the 90's) when the pressure is at its highest renders the "scarring" theory of that six utter rubbish.

:cantstop: Oh really!!! :hysterical: That's what "people outside Pakistan" think.. methinks it's just a case of sour grapes and if the players didn't "care" about the game how come they cried in the dressing room after the game as per the players themselves. Google search "Pak Players cried after losing to India in world cup semi final" and you will see numerous articles :cantstop: As for the Pakis "dominating" India I am all for India losing "mickey mouse" games as long as we win the games that matter and maybe can you refresh my memory when you guys have won anything against India when it really counts? Maybe for you those Sharjah matches were more important but for "rest of the world outside Pakistan" world cups, Asia cup or World Championship of Cricket would actually rate higher :haha:

Dude ODIs and T20s are a joke, any clown can win those games, Yuvraj and Razzaq are two such fine examples of players who flourish in these formats but are ruthlessly exposed in Tests. Come back to me when you want to discuss test cricket.
