satyam1729 Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 I agree. Anyone expecting India to smash England will be in for a surprise. If this series was at home, we'd beat the crap out of them. No contest. We CAN win but have to be at our best. I've not wanted India to win a series as badly as this for a long time. Sehwag might miss the tour. Dravid has been dire overseas for close to 5 years (last hundred outside India was in 2006). In fact, he hasn't really got big runs against the better teams even at home lately. Number 6 is still a bit of a concern. Zaheer needs to be fit for all 4 tests. 3rd seamer worry Harby's recent form (decent only in SA) http://stats.espncricinfo.com/engvind/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?id=2872;type=series Indian batting is better this time and so is bowling. We will comfortably beat them.
satyam1729 Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 This seems to be a green ghetto material or very close to it :hmmm: No it is last baston of english and Australian fans . And they have hatred against India.

BTW you have covered all the negatives,I m already getting nervous :nervous:

We will comfortably beat them. Dude, why do you keep posting that 2007 series performance? We are four years on to that series, we aren't going to beat them in 2011 just because we did in 2007. If India's batting and bowling is better (questionable given the over reliance on Zak in the seam attack and the decline of Dravid and Sehwag's injury), have you noticed England's? They have Swann now, Anderson is more consistent now, and they have some really good seamers coming through. Batting wise Cook has come on leaps and bounds in the past year and a half, and Trott is averaging 60. Even Bell has started playing major innings after being flaky earlier in his career. That doesn't mean England will beat us, but it is going to be a very hard series and the 2007 result has no bearing on it.

Dravid was rubbish even then. They don't have Vaughan who used to score heavily against us. And cook is rubbish in English condition.

Sid Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 http://www.cricketweb.net/forum/cricket-chat/ Wow some serious haters there :cantstop:
Cricket Tragic Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 http://www.cricketweb.net/forum/cricket-chat/ The biggest morons on CW are actually the Indian chaps who are so desperate to be seen as neutral that they actually overrate other teams. That vcs and blazer get on my nerve. As usual, the Pakis have ruined the forum. That Shah dickhead with the Imran DP can't stop wanking about him. Now there is that Salman moron who was 100% certain that Pak would win the WC. :cantstop: I used to be regular years back but I haven't posted in ages. Teja is another moron. He is a ****ing 16 year old kid who needs to get laid but spends his time rating players that he has never watched.

I was involved in a tussle with mod. I said them England is over-rated team that is not going to win anything in WC .:cantstop:
Serani Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Anderson bowled england to a crushing series victory in Aus, you mad? Even though all you haters said he could only bowl in England he performed in Aus when it mattered, remember his average was 35 + when India were last here so he has improved greatly. Suck it up haters your going to be seeing a lot of him celebrating this summer.
Andy Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Same here I am worried about Sehwag, Recently he has struggled in Test Cricket against good attacks, Be it home or away.

Serani Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Again bringing up ODI's, nobody cares about a bowlers ODI record as it is hardly an indication of a bowlers skill. Satyam clutching at straws again, either way will be good to see Anderson up against the inferior Zaheer this summer however Zaheer will probably get injured yet again after playing this "IPL" malarkey, I mean seriously look at the belly on him.

Malcom marshall doesn't have.
cricketlover Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 India is in a win win situation as far as conditions are concerned.. green, windy condition - Seamers apart from Zaheer will be able to contribute meaninfully aswell. England's batsmen were all over the place last year. On the other hand Indian batsmen are technically strong enough to counter these swinging conditions eventhough I feel that Sehwag might struggle. flat tracks - India will own England
