No even if he picks fifer this won't be used as a platform to pick players. His Ranji performances will be looked at. Initially he was a disappointment. But in the last 2 matches his accuracy is back to where it was. His inswing to right hander is also back. Still not enough reason to pick him though. His batting has been a big let down and he is paid to do both. So, no he is not playing well at all and nowhere close to coming back to the national team. He was a really good prospect when he started out but for whatever reasons, he has failed both with bat and ball off late.
