cricketlover Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Overpopulation leads to extreme competition. Always and there is no way around it. Infact people dying is nature's of sorting it out right? But I simply blame the parents here most of all. I hate Indian parents who make it so the kid feels his life is over if he fails an exam. Now they're gonna repent for life. Not everybody has the caliber to excel in hardcore studies. This

straight.drive Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Agree. I know a couple of people from my class who made it to IIT - after getting into IIT, one of them changed his signature and started writing the words "IIT" beneath his signature :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: and also, both those guys wouldn't talk to others with a straight face and looked at other students who were in "lesser" colleges with contempt. This is just based on my experiences with a few IITians. I would attest this. Some of these fellows would even keep the word "IIT" in the signature of an online forum too :omg: One day, out of blue, i found a friend who managed to clear IIT (with a 400 odd rank) at Infosys. I still preserve the embarrassment, shame on his bald-headed face when I stumbled across his cube. These dude's never realize that life is just a chance.
Mariyam Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 What book is it? I want to check it out. Are her views similar to Ken Robinson's by any chance? The book is titled " Education in India : Youth on a precipice" or something like that. How will you check it out? It was banned back then. Unless someone has illegally put it up online. PS: I have no idea who Ken Robinson is or what his views are.
