NBA Playoffs

Even a bot can quote stats from the Database. :phehehe: /Bot Mode Dallas has won the last 6 of the 6 on the road. Miami, till today had lost only one game at home at the entire playoffs. :hysterical: Anyways, i will leave the self-quoting to the babies, but now, it is time to congratulate the champions, the Dallas Mavs! Well played Dirk! You owe one heck of a big bottle of beer to Jason Terry for carrying the team in the 1st half :hail::hatsoff: Feel sorry for James, Wade and Bosh. They had to endure some unbelievable amounts of scrutiny, hate and criticism this year. It would have been so fitting for them to capped this year with the win. But now the challenge is - can they keep the team together? Can they add more pieces next year? Will the so-called Miami dynasty crumble, even before it began?
These clown were the same one who said they would win not one, not two, not three, but 7 to eight championships and you said they had to endure scrutiny. Who the eff are u? Lebron's mom? Yeah, they can keep the team together. Bosh, Lebron, and Wade will stay together for the next 4-5 years, it's the other rejects that will be changed every now and then.

Not bad...not bad Well, to start off, Heat was very lucky to come out with a victory in Game 2 vs Bulls. Asik was guarding so well, but an unfortunate injury meant he couldn't play rest of the fourth quarter with under seven to go or something. With 2-0 up and home advantage, there was no way Bulls wud have lost the series.
Oh so Asik’s unfortunate injury was the reason why the Bulls lost.. Not the suffocating defense Lebron played on D.Rose that literally made him impotent in the rest of the series, not the fact that the Bulls bench went almost AWOL after the first game, not the fact that their starting center, Joakim Noah gave them almost on offensive production at all.. But yes, Bulls lost because their back-up center got injured. I think this is probably the FIRST time in the history of all NBA, when someone has said a team lost the conference finals because the back-up center was injured.
Now, please tell us why it would have been fitting(as in deserve) to see Heat win instead of Mavs. We're waiting to hear from the ICF's BB pundit
I have many reasons why I feel it would have fitting if Miami had won it all, in the end. But hey, you’re the guy with the ‘sense to figure out the implications from stats’, right? I will let you figure this one out as well. :phehehe:

WTF! They said they wanted to win 5,6,7 championships! Not commit genocide or anything. :phehehe: I thought aiming high was a good thing, no? And err, btw, I certainly not Lebron’s mom – but hey, if your reason to hate on someone is because they said they wanted to win multiple NBA championships, then I must say that is a really, really lame reason.

So, you agree Asik's unfortunate injury helped Heat win Game 2? A simple Yes or No would do?

Yeah, I can figure them out from stats, but you haven't provided me any for your claim "it would have fitting if Miami had won it all". :dontknow:

Let's see. The idiot ( Lebron) leaves Cleaveland. Goes on ESPN to announce his decision, that too after so much drama. Goes to Miami and has this stupid celebration and announces that he's gonna win that many championships just because he's pairing with Wade and Bosh. I don't hate him. I don't even know him but I hate his antics. Everytime he shoots off his mouth and than fails to back it up.

So' date=' you agree Asik's unfortunate injury helped Heat win Game 2? A simple Yes or No would do?[/quote'] Do you think Australia would have won the 99 WC, had Herchelle Gibbs held on to that catch from Steve Waugh? A simple Yes or No would do? Well, apart from REALLY minor things like the fact that they were probably THE most scrutinized, criticized, berated, hyped, followed and lambasted professional sporting team in the last many decades, I really cannot possibly think of any other reason why it would have been fitting if Miami won it all, at the end of the season. Can you? :dontknow: And reg. the stats - dont worry Jose. I am sure we will have pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenty of opportunities in the future to test your claim about your much acclaimed 'sense to figure out implications from stats'. And there's nothing like some solid regression testing to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Everytime he shoots off his mouth and than fails to back it up.[/quote'] Hmm - He was a free agent when he made that decision to move to South Beach last year and was absolutely entitled to make that switch to whichever team he chose. He made his announcement on one of the most watched sporting announcements of all time, all of whose advertisement revenues went to, wait for it... - Yes, helping underprivileged kids get better education in the United States. Lebron James didnt phuck a hotel waitress like Kobe did. Lebron James did not bring a gun to locker room like Gilbert Arenas did. Lebron did not urinate in a trash cash in an Atlantic city Casino like Allen Iverson did. Lebron James did not get into an ugly brawl with opposition fans like Ron Artest did. Lebron James did not choke his head coach like Laterell Sprewell did. What did he do? - Yes, he switched teams (something that is routine in sports elsewhere in the world AND the NBA), after givng SEVEN effing years to a Cleavland Cavaliers team that NOBODY knew about before. He put Cleavland and Akron on the world's map. For SEVEN long years, he single-handedly carried a Cavs team, which without him had the longest losing streak in NBA's history this year, on his shoulders. With him in the team, they were the no.1 seed from the regular season for two years in a row, without him, they were the LAST seed. If only the Cavs front office had the good sense and judgment to bring in some additional talent to the team, may be that could have persuaded Lebron to stay. And who would like to play under a owner like Dan Gilbert? That guy sucked up to Lebron till the day of the decision, but derided without an iota of class once he knew Lebron had left. Would you like to work for an employer who *****es about you, behind your back? Would you like to work for an employer who openly curses that you will never be able to achieve anything in your professional life, once you quit your job under him? Look at Dan Gilbert now, gleefully sneering and jeering at Lebron's misery after game 6. No wonder Lebron left. Get real, get awake.

[/quote'] No :dontknow: So, teams DESERVE to win if they get scrutinized, blah blah blah and not based on what they did on the field, in our case, court? Jimmy, I thought you would come with a better argument than that  And why are we comparing Jamass with AI, Arenas, Artest, etc? It's like comparing Pakistan and Afghan as to which is more peaceful place to live in  Oh btw, he can go where ever he wants to go but the way they staged "the Decision" was stupid and it made him look bigger than the sport itself.

No :dontknow:
And how does Sir Highness know that for sure? :phehehe: Is Clairvoyance part of your repertoire as well? But I do admire the decisiveness of your answer, even though that’s pretty much the only thing that there’s to admire about it.

Duh, what a pitifully stupid thing to say! It makes it seem as though Miami made it to the finals through a wild-card or something. Dunno if your memory is failing you Jose, I hope you do remember that they a) Beat the Eastern Conference champions of last year in the 2nd round of the playoffs and b) Top-seed of this year in the Eastern conf finas, to get to the finals. What more do you think they need to to do to deserve a championship ? Solve global warming?

Huh what..You lost me completely there. Come again please? The context of my comparison of Lebron with some of the other super-stars was completely unrelated and has got nothing to do with our discussion.

Jimmy, did you expect Lehmann and Moody to score all of those runs?

When you've three of the top cats in the league playing for you, that's the least you'd expect. And what about Mavs? Didn't they beat the last year's champions and handed Phil's first ever clean sweep? If that doesn't make them worthy winners, I dunno wat would :dontknow: Huh what..You lost me completely there.
