Crookbond Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I hope I don't get slated for it but I didnt find Sanga's speech "that" awesome as some people are making it out to be.It was full of platitudes and boring most of the time. Besides, whats up with his accent. He was trying to sound English. Everyone has a right to opinion and hence, I respect that.. But if Harsha Bhogle, Tony Greig, and myriad of other cricket personalities (who are respected and knowledgable) I would rather believe them. :-)
Crookbond Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 What about cheating in toss?:giggle: Picking the seam of the ball? :winky:
desi pride 1234 Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Picking the seam of the ball? :winky: oh, he did that? how did he managed do it with gloves? :hehe:

Crookbond Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Sure :) But why dont you listen to what he said before taking others word for it. How did you conjecture that I didn't listen his talk? :-)
Crookbond Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 oh' date=' he did that? how did he managed do it with gloves? :hehe:[/quote'] As a part-time bowler, bowling medium pace.
Yoda-esque Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 How did you conjecture that I didn't listen his talk? :-) Because you said that you'd rather believe someone...which in turn leads me to believe that you dont have your own opinion on the same since you havent watched it. Make sense?:giggle:

Make sense?:giggle: Yes, but let me correct you that I did. However, my views were in line with the Bhogles and the Greigs. :-)
Zero_Unit Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 With that speach, he most likely will have to resign now. Feeling sorry for Sanga ...
TheWall Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 As a part-time bowler' date=' bowling medium pace.[/quote'] with keeper pads on??? :hysterical:
YingYangTwins Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Crykarra's speech was strictly OK, dont understand what the big deal is with it that everyone is going gaga over it. He spoke against his corrupt board and at the same time threw dirt at Sanath indirectly saying that no one wanted him to come back for his farewell game. I have seen better speeches in Zilla Panchayat level.

I have seen better speeches in Zilla Panchayat level. To deliver that speech, takes guts. He also gave Sanath credit but at the same time he was correct in criticizing his comeback. Remember Sanath is an Member of Parliament now. He was a liability and his comeback just showed the influence of corrupt officials and politics in Sri Lankan cricket.
Crookbond Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I stand corrected - Sangakkara this is for you. :finger:
