Greatest Possible Team in Last 25 Years

Wanted to know what everyone thinks is the greatest possible ODI team in the last quarter century? IE circa 1985-2011 with all the players at their peak. Here's mine: 1 Sehwag 2 Sachin 3 V Richards 4 Lara 5 Ponting 6 Kallis (All rounder) 7 Gilchrist (WK) (Captain) 8 Wasim (LH Pacer) 9 Warne (Leggie) 10 Murali (Offie) 11 McGrath (RH Pacer) Ponting should obviously be higher but i don't think he could bump Richards and Lara in their prime.

Sehwag has not done anything close to others in ODIs in this team...Jaysuriya may get his place in his prime. I would like Lara at 3, Ponting 4, Kalis 5, and Viv at 6

Bevan and Saqlain, two of the best ODI players in this era have to be there somehow. Also for that all rounder spot, I would much rather have Klusener at number 7, a brilliant match winner with the bat in the lower order and a more than decent 5th bowler. Sehwag too hasn't done enough yet to be in such a 11. But then thats your 11, personal choices who am I to question that. My 11 would be- Sachin, Gilly, Ponting ©, Lara, Viv, Bevan, Zulu, Wasim, Saqlain, Donald, Mcgrath 12th Man- Jonty Another team can be formed of the players not in this list Jayasurya, Dada, Kallis, Miandad, Inzi, Yuvraj, MSD, Lee, Warne, Waqar, Murali

Yeah, Sehwag doesn't really fit in for the ODIs, He has sort of underperformed in shorter formats. Rather have Ganguly in there. Dada & Goddy were perhaps the best alltime opening pair in ODIs. Also I am not so sure but I think Ganguly has got 10K runs, 40+ Avg and often outperformed SRT during his prime.. Also a very strong cadidate for Captaincy instead of Gilly as OP's option.

25 years only. Could argue that Richards peak was just prior to that and hence rules him out? Tendulkar Ganguly Ponting Kallis Lara Dhoni © Kapil Dev Akram Warne G McGrath Muralitharan Went for SG at the top with Tendulkar as they were the greatest ODI opening combo, and Gnags was arguably a better ODI opener than Gilly. MSD at 6 is the keeper, super finisher and skipper of course. Kapil is my all rounder. I think Kallis has to be there, super slip catcher, can chip in with the ball and a foil for the strokeplayers in that batting lineup

Forget the last 25 years and let's make it official...it's All Time (most choices seem to suggest it is an all time eleven anyway). The Quintessential All Time ODI XI and XV The Buddha aka Sachin Tendulkar Gilly aka Adam Gilchrist The King aka Viv Richards Street Fighter aka Javed Miandad Punter aka Ricky Pawning Zulu aka Lance Kluesener Haryana Hurricane aka Kapil Dev Waz aka Wasim Akram Blondie aka Shane Warne Big Bird aka Joel Garner Smiling Assassin aka Muralitharan Surya aka Sanath Jayasuriya MSD aka Mahendra Singh Dhoni Jumbo aka Anil Kumble Pidge aka Glen McGrath Edit - Each one of dem buggers won games single handedly. The Cap of the team should be the Haryana Hurricane or The King or Punter. If MSD is playing in the XI during the "Milky Way Interplanetary All Time ODI Championship" then he will be the captain immaterial of who he replaces in the side.

I can't believe that so many people are picking Kallis but it's good to see Klusener in there. His ODI stats are unreal (batting avg over 40 @ s/r of 90 and bowling avg under 30). At his peak, he was awesome. His bowling later became useless.
