I don't understand how the mutations occur. :hmmmm2:
(Gene) mutation is one aspect of the bigger picture - evolution. So, what you want to know? mutation or evolution?

Neutrinos from the Sun as a result of thermonuclear reactions bombard us day in and out. Most of the these pass harmlessly through our body, and even our planet, infact they are bloody difficult to detect, such is their lack of interaction. However, they occasionally interact with cells in the body, and cause 'damage' to the genetic code, causing anomalous sequences. the body has several redundancies to fix these mutations, and it does do so. your body will go through a few hundred mutations in any given hour, and almost all of them are repaired. occasionally some of these mutations persist. These anomalous genetic sequences replicate and perpetuate themselves to the following generations. if these mutations result in a particular advantage viz a viz survival in the given habitat, they lead to macroevolution, and if of course they are not particularly beneficial, they are usually weeded out. that is my understanding of mutations and their role in evolution.

Heard of Pakis ? :hmmm: Yep that is Gene Mutation gone horribly wrong .
I think Darwin would have rather discovered the concept of Genetic mutations long before Mendel if he had come across any Pakis..:cantstop:

Not true http://ldolphin.org/islamcreat.html
From these verses of the Quran which I have quoted emerge the following conclusions: ( 1 ) The material from which man has been created is not eternal. It was created by God. (2) Man's creation involved an evolutionary process extending over a long period of time. He was not created in a moment. (3) Man was created from an origin of his own species. It is not correct that he evolved from a species of monkeys or apes which is the theory advanced by Darwin. (4) One of the evolutionary stages through which he passed was something akin to stone or rock. (5) He next passed through a stage of animal life but intelligence had not yet developed in him although he moved about, ate and drank like other animals. (6) He became an intelligent being able to speak and communicate. (7) In his final stage he devised a system of life and started on the road to civilization and culture. Instead of each individual living for himself, as is the case with other and lower animals, he began to work in co-operation with others of his species evolving a system and law of life.

Suck on this biatch http://www.islam-qa.com/en/ref/34508/evolution
There are people who say that long ago man was a monkey and he evolved. Is this true? Is there any evidence?. Praise be to Allaah. This view is not correct, and the evidence for that is that Allaah has described in the Qur’aan the stages of the creation of Adam. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Verily, the likeness of ‘Eesa (Jesus) before Allaah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: ‘Be!’ — and he was” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:59] This dust was moistened until it became sticky mud or clay that stuck to the hands. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth)” [al-Mu’minoon 23:12] “Verily, We created them of a sticky clay” [al-Saaffaat 37:12] Then it became dried (sounding) clay of altered mud. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And indeed, We created man from dried (sounding) clay of altered mud” [al-Hijr 15:26] Then when it dried it became sounding clay like the clay of pottery. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery” [al-Rahmaan 55:14] Then Allaah moulded it into the form that He wanted and breathed into him (his) soul created by Him. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “(Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: ‘Truly, I am going to create man from clay’. So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him” [saad 38:71-72] These are the stages through which the creation of Adam passed according to the Qur’aan. As for the stages of creation which the progeny of Adam pass through, Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So Blessed is Allaah, the Best of creators” [al-Mu’minoon 23:12-14] With regard to the wife of Adam – Hawwa’ (Eve) – Allaah tells us that He created her from him, as He says (interpretation of the meaning): “O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women” [al-Nisa’ 4:1]

Both, please.
Btw - is it a mere coincidence that you want to know about Evolution after "Rapture day" (end of world day - may 21s)?
It is end of the wurl? :woot:

Interesting. So, from a single cell to our present form, we have been depending on a certain neutrino damaging the cell in such a way and that damage to be wicked enough to not get repaired and persist long enough in one particular environment to be considered advantageous. According to what little I know, the first cells were formed by some chance reaction between the chemicals on earth a gazillion years ago? I just find it all to be too chancey. :/
