Utalk Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 LONDON: British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Wednesday this is not the time to turn away from alliances with Pakistan. Addressing a joint press conference along with US President Barack Obama at the garden of Lancaster House, Cameron said allies must work with Pakistan more closely than ever before instead of turning away from it. He said Pakistan had suffered mightily in the fight against extremism. “Their enemy is our enemy,†he said. Barack Obama said the relationship between the US and the UK is “special†and “stronger than it has even beenâ€. He said the two leaders “saw eye to eye†on a range of issues. Cameron hailed the relationship as “essential for our security and prosperityâ€. He said the two leaders had discussed a range of subjects during their meeting, including recent developments in the Middle East, the continued fight against terrorism and the need to create jobs in the global economy. Cameron said he and Obama were committed to helping those fighting for freedom across the Arab world. http://www.thenews.com.pk/TodaysPrintDetail.aspx?ID=6241&Cat=13&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
ravishingravi Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Well the problem is that no one can afford Pakistan to fail, including India. But as long as the military is in control, I can only see things escalating. There is a concept of "Karma" here. They trained and used Mujahideens for wars in Afghanistan and India. But the mosnter they created is coming back to bite them. A radicalized society can never attain stability.
King Tendulkar Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 One minute he is saying pakistan looks both ways, now dont turn away:hysterical: Well he knows pakis are supporters of jihadi terrorsists but they need pakis, or at least they think they do to kill jihadis in aghan etc.
