Gunner_Mania Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 They're calling him a selfish' date=' midget, choker, who is not as good as Anwar, Lara, Ponting, Sehwag, Kallis[/quote'] you missed out Umar Akmal
Sooda Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 And Inzamam 'thegreatestplayerofphhassttbowlingsincethebirthoftime' ul Haq On a more serious note. Rahane can open, and do so well, did vs Aus for BP XI and scored a ton. Does open a lot for Mumbai. He can play at 3 or 4 too...Id have roped in hnstead of Raina. Surely weve established Raina may not be test class. Moreoever he will be pretty exhausted. I read somewhere that Pujara had recovered from Injury Sane I, so might well be because of the SA tour as frakced up as that is, though as you say I hope not. Tendulkar sitting out is dissapointing, but if it means he will be 100 pc facing Eng then worth it even if he has chosen IPL over country. Im a bit worried but hopefully we will be 2-0 up and can rest Zak and MSD for test 3 :isalute:
Asoka Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Why is Sachin putting this useless league over the real deal??? Kallis would never let go off such an opportunity. I fear Kallis may overtake Sachin.
cowboysfan Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Cant believe sachin opted out,he will get the blame if we dont win the series
VRV Singh Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Midget choker getting his comeuppance in the IPL..:giggle:
Karan114 Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Would've been a good opportunity for Sachin to win another away Test series...evidently that's not as important to him as the tamasha. Hope that Pujara is still injured and not dropped. Good opportunity for Kohli to cement himself in the Test team.
Ramzz Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 SRT wants his hundredth hundred in England and not against WI :hysterical:
Sid Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I can see a disaster coming our way in the ODI's.Last time we were there,we had Yuvi,Gauti,Dhoni etc, still just managed to win the series 2-1.And this time ...............
Cricket Tragic Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 As long as we win both the series (even 3-2 and 1-0), it's fine. The target is England and Australia.
Karan114 Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Don't care about the ODIs too much but need to win the Tests.
Sid Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 No problems with test series.,we will win the tests for sure.
Cricket Tragic Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 The WI bowling is piss poor. We shouldn't really lose 20 wickets against them. ODIs are different. I can see India losing a couple of games with this team.
Rusty Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I am quite excited now to see Virat Kohli in the test team.
Karan114 Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 The batting in the ODI squad is weak. Rohit Sharma is a joke at ODI level, while Dhawan, Manoj Tiwary and Badrinath have limited experience of international cricket. If the West Indians have any brains, they will prepare fast pitches and unleash Roach and Rampaul on these guys.

Sachin=GOD Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Despite so many players resting, we will still win both the Test and ODI series' but the ODI series will be a close one IMO.
Cricket Tragic Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 Doesn't look great tbh. Dhawan Dropthiv Kohli Badri R Sharma Raina Yuseless Pathan Ashwin Dartby PK Munaf

It hasn't happened in WI in the last few years and I have no reason to believe it will happen now.
