WC2011INDIA Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Abhi se nautanki dikhane lage BCCI and Indian players. :((
jaggadaku Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Fail thread. Is raina also captaining the Test Team?
yoda Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 It was too obvious already. Anyways, why wasn't he made the captain anyways especially in the absence of Gambhir. :dontknow:
Cricket Tragic Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 It was too obvious already. Anyways' date= why wasn't he made the captain anyways especially in the absence of Gambhir. :dontknow: Really? There were stories about him being pissed off when Dhoni got the captaincy (I heard that his Dad even came on TV) but I'm not sure if it's true.
yoda Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Really? There were stories about him being pissed off when Dhoni got the captaincy (I heard that his Dad even came on TV) but I'm not sure if it's true. They are all true mostly even though fans make the media out to be a evil thing which makes up stories. Anyways, he isn't going to come and say it in the open. In this instance I wouldn't blame him for being pissed at Raina being appointed the captain in the absence of Gambhir.
panesarv Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Wtf . It seems like a 4 year old wrote that article +1
Ultimate_Game Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Tabloid material this. By the way BCCI should have gone with Kohli instead of Raina with Raina as VC instead of Harbhajan. After Dhoni and Gambhir, Kohli has to be the captain in waiting. Wasn't too impressed with Raina's captaincy when he lead India in Zim.
Jersey #10 Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 UV is a very good batsman but I just don't see the leadership material in him.
Holysmoke Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 He has no right to be pissed after how he led team Puny this year.
ensd2 Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 cmon guy gives YV the captainship he is back at his best , don't forget his sublime wc performance:pray:
ganeshran Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 ^ Leadership and performance are two different things. A brilliant player might not have be a brilliant leader too
Karan114 Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Sad to miss out On the personal front, I am disappointed to miss out on the West Indies tour. This is the first time we are going to play as world champions and I didn't want to miss the opportunity. I wasn't feeling well and went through some scans. The report suggested a lung infection. I wanted to be on that flight but the doctors advised me against it. No matter how much I hate it, I will be cheering the boys from home. The team will do well and I wish Suresh Raina and the boys the best of luck. Strange reportage It was amusing to see some of the television channels report that I pulled out of the tour because I didn't want to play under Raina. Do I need to state that I play for India and not for a captain? Haven't I played under MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir? Haven't I said this too many times that last year was tough as I missed a lot of cricket due to injuries? Anyway, let's hope the channels have better stories to report and bigger issues to deal with. http://www.hindustantimes.com/Reports-on-my-pullout-from-the-West-Indies-tour-bizarre/Article1-703852.aspx

Zero_Unit Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Sounds to me like the JOURNALIST is trying to make some quick bucks.
ganeshran Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Yuvraj also deserves the rest. We need him during the transition phase.
