Zero_Unit Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 SOURCE: http://www.espncricinfo.com/zimbabwe/content/story/515628.html So the news is that ZIM is getting their test status back. Apprently they are making a comeback to the test arena around August against Bangladesh. I am a bit confused here. It is always good to have more teams to watch but then again their form has been poor recently. If any team deserved a TEST STATUS, I think Ireland comes close but not close enough. Heck I don't even think Zim is prepared to even take on BD in the test arena, let alone the rest of the test nation. Leave you comments below and guys PLEASE keep the discussion appropriate.

I do not think only having 2-3 quality players is enough to get TEST STATUS. Ireland has some quality batters, but that does not mean that they are up for Test status. They do not have enough infrastructure, no fan base, no support from govt. Even if they are given test status, how can they advance from there. If that was the case, then Kenya also should have been given Test status after making to Semis in 2003 WC. However, i agree that Zim is not prepared to come back Test area. They should have been waited for some more time. But watching SL's game against England, we cant argue that Zim could do any worse ! :D
Sir john Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Ireland deserve it more than Zim :protest: :finger: zim deserve it:dance:
Sachin=GOD Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 :finger: zim deserve it:dance: why??? just because you like mediocre teams :phehehe:
Sir john Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 why??? just because you like mediocre teams :phehehe: zim defeats india and pak two times in tests .:giggle:
Sachin=GOD Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 zim defeats india and pak two times in tests .:giggle: that was how many years ago? and how many of those players are still playing? Ireland have only been given an opportunity in ODIs and they've already defeated Eng and Pak among others and they've got some really talented players and deserve a Test spot more than Zim :finger::finger:
