What more should bowlers do to get Man of the Match awards

I think the other problem is that there simply aren't enough high quality bowler's around. Especially in the ODI arena where there are hardly any dominant bowlers like Warne, Murali in his prime, Bond, Donald etc etc. There's a lot of mediocrity among fast bowlers especially who just run in, try to get a wicket every over by trying tricks instead of working over, working out batsmen.

That was a poor call. Mishra deserved the MOM as he was the real game-breaker who made the difference in the game. Without his superb bowling which triggered WI middle order collapse India would be chasing 280 and not 240.

I agree with the OP. Mishra bowled well to keep Windies total under 250. Kohli batted pretty well, but Mishra was ideal. I guess had India batted first and Kohli would have made same score with India finishing around 250 and Mishra taking 4 wickets while defending, would have earned him the man of the match. Thats what has started happening in Int'l Cricket. People often tend to forget what has happend earlier in the game.
