CoverDrive Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 one of the good things about the series has been seeing two quality classic leg spinners operate. Both have been best bowlers for their teams but bishoo has had to play against much better players of spin. Bishoo probably spins more but mishra has better googly. what do you guys think?
Zelig Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Mishra has better seam position compared to Bishoo, hence gets more drift. But Bishoo consistently hits the right spots. Both have a good future, if they continue to work hard :two_thumbs_up:
ganeshran Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Bishoo doesnt give the ball enough air. He tries to bowl faster through the air while Mishra gives some wonderful flight to the ball But both are very gifted spinners and I hope they continue to work hard and improve.
Sidhoni Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Bishoo likes to rush in the ball more than Mishra who tends to toss the ball up. Both are really good bowlers who can be match winners in future, Mishra already has won some matches on his own. Best of Luck to both of them :two_thumbs_up:
Serani Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Would probably rate Bishoo better just because he is bowling at very good players of spin rather than complete retards like Mishra is bowling at.
phaedrus Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 great to see some good leg spin from either sides after a LONG time. good luck to the both of them. Just hope WICB dont f*** this chance and treat Bishoo properly. He seems to be one for the future
Sir john Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 both are good bowlers, but mishra>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>bishoo any day :ohyeah:
ganeshran Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Would probably rate Bishoo better just because he is bowling at very good players of spin rather than complete retards like Mishra is bowling at. That is true. Indians are better players of spin than Windies. Mishra's test will come when he plays Sri Lanka.
Zero_Unit Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Bishoo is going to have a great career for sure. Could be one of the best spinners in a couple of years. He's still young so long career ahead of him.
King Tendulkar Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Would probably rate Bishoo better just because he is bowling at very good players of spin rather than complete retards like Mishra is bowling at. True. Difficlut to assess mishra. As has not really delivered on consitetnt basis against good opp, as had long hop issues. Maybe has developed and got better. But windies are pathetic against spin, I think numerous spinners in India would have troubled them
gaurav92 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Mishra has better seam position compared to Bishoo, hence gets more drift. But Bishoo consistently hits the right spots. Both have a good future, if they continue to work hard :two_thumbs_up: Mr. Tontee Tontee turning into a purist :omg:
Karan114 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Would probably rate Bishoo better just because he is bowling at very good players of spin rather than complete retards like Mishra is bowling at. True. Mishra's stand out performance in his career (both Tests and ODIs) was against the Aussies in his first Test series. Other than that, he has struggled against quality opposition while blitzing through the West Indies and Bangladesh. If he can do this against stronger teams then fair enough.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Bishoo has just started his career and they rested him for the game today. :WTF:
Cricketics Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Mishra is a little better bowler, but Bishoo at the same time i pretty good too. He is bowlign to Indian bats, who are usually pretty good at spin, so he might not have great success but I hope eventually he comes good for Windies in the longer run. It will be big test for him in test series against the likes of Dravid-Laxman.
Zelig Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Mr. Tontee Tontee turning into a purist :omg: Oh, yeah...the game was invented by the likes of you and the T20 fans aren't eligible to have an opinion :giggle:
gaurav92 Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Oh' date=' yeah...the game was invented by the likes of you and the T20 fans aren't eligible to have an opinion :giggle:[/quote'] Yes it was invented by the "Purists" but you seem to have too good a knowledge to just stick to the useless Tamasha of Tontee Tontee. Switch over to Test Cricket and you'll have much more to express :nice: :icflove:
