Pure honey has lot of medicinal properties and I think honey is different from sugar..But key here is Pure, unadulterated Honey which is almost impossible to buy over the counter.. I know of a person who got cured of his sugar related problems by fasting lime juice and honey for 2 weeks or so..

Where did I say honey will definitely cure diabetes? I am not a doctor or scientist to make such claim...But I personally think honey is different from processed sugar with lot of medicinal properties. And I know a person who told me that he got cured of his sugar related disorders by honey fasting ..By saying this, I am not claiming honey will cure diabetes..Hope this is clear ..

have you tried looking at the compositions of honey - as compared to sugar.. and how they get metabolized? Also there are more than one type of "sugar related problems". and if you are referring to "blood sugar" - aka - diabetes.. that is also of more than one type... and every individual responds differently. also OP is talking about 'low sugar levels' ( lower than his liking), and not 'high blood sugar'.

did you notice what cricaddict said - honey is not significantly different from sugar - "calorie wise".
May be you're right that honey is calorie wise same as sugar..Obviously honey wouldn't of much help if you're worried about your daily calorie intake. But I think Honey has many medicinal properties...This is nothing to do with OP, I just wanted to put across my point that honey has medicinal properties which is used by Indian medicinal system for ages.

From here, one would need to dig into the references cited therein and check the veracity of the conclusions made in the original paper.
No maybe ... he is right :-)! As a student of science, I would like to see rational, well-controlled experiments, proper clinical studies, and physiological/biochemical mode of action studies before I buy into the medicinal properties of honey (or anything else for that matter). While there is such strong evidence for the medicinal properties of capsaicin (chili pepper), and to a lesser extent curcumin (turmeric), research with honey is just beginning. When I talk about scientific evidence, I am looking for something like this:
