Captain of Bhangra Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 and no meal at BK costs £7.50 Nah, that's one of the few things he's got right. The Motorway service station BKs charge around £8 for a meal...
vvvslaxman Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Well first of all' date=' a succesful T20 tournamant has to have the[b'] worlds best T20 players, which IPL doesnt, but FLT20 has.... Afridi Peitersen Ajmal Gul Razzaq The mere fact that these 5 players were never part oof IPL 4, and even if KP was part, he was dropped for Ross Taylor by some pathetic coach! :finger: These are the best players? Neither GUl Nor Afridi do anything in their first IPL outing.
Rana Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 This is what Lahori Logic is - stringing some obscure facts together to justify a predetermined conclusion. All the big T20 names were present in IPL including far more accomplished players like Gayle, Steyn, Bollinger, Hussey, Raina and many more. In your list only Afridi and Razzak are decent T20 players. Ajmal and Gul arent T20 players. All the PAkistani players in the first IPL didnt play well either. oh my days! This is the level of hatred! oh my days! oh my days!
Sid Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 oh my days! This is the level of hatred! oh my days! oh my days! I agree with Rana,Ganno what were you thinking when you wrote this,Gul and Ajmal are actually very good T20 cricketers :D
Rana Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 :finger: These are the best players? Neither GUl Nor Afridi do anything in their first IPL outing. Shaun marsh was leading run scorer in IPL 1, where is he now????? Sphail tanvir was leading wicket taker, where is he now?????? IPL is no bench mark, the best players in IPL are usually flops at international level! Afridi, Inaugaral intl T20 player of the year, in the 2nd iT20, was actually the best player of the tournamant. Gul is the leading wicket taker in T20s as it stands!
ganeshran Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 oh my days! This is the level of hatred! oh my days! oh my days! I agree with Rana' date='Ganno what were you thinking when you wrote this,Gul and Ajmal are actually very good T20 cricketers :D[/quote'] I gave extra weightage to that performance in the Semi Final against Hussey :P

Gul is the leading wicket taker in T20s as it stands! you conveniently left out Shane Watson. By the way, 8 of the top 10 run scorers in International T20s played in the IPL. How many are there in FLT20?
Rana Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 you conveniently left out Shane Watson. OK what should i add him for? leading his team to what? Or should i add gayle?
Rana Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 I gave extra weightage to that performance in the Semi Final against Hussey :P Why dont you give weightage to Jadeja's 9 sixes of 11 balls that he bowled.
ganeshran Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 OK what should i add him for? leading his team to what? Or should i add gayle? Shifting the goalposts again? He cemented his place in the International side after his IPL performance. He has performed consistently well in the team as well
Sid Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Why dont you give weightage to Jadeja's 9 sixes of 11 balls that he bowled. How did Jadeja came into this or are you comparing your great T20 cricketers to Jaddu :--D :giggle:
ganeshran Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Why dont you give weightage to Jadeja's 9 sixes of 11 balls that he bowled. Logic fail. I never rated Jadeja as a good cricket player at any level.
Rana Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Logic fail. I never rated Jadeja as a good cricket player at any level. BCCI and Dhoni did. One over doesnt define Ajmal.
ganeshran Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Rana, The sole reason you are batting for FL T20 is that some Pakistani players are playing in it who were not let in the IPL. Other than that the FL T20 is a poor man's IPL - same T20 cricket on a much lower scale with lesser pay packets.
Rana Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Shifting the goalposts again? He cemented his place in the International side after his IPL performance. He has performed consistently well in the team as well Till date, Shane Watson is IPL's greatest creation:hysterical: And players like Malinga, Gayle, Pollard have deserted international cricket.
ganeshran Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 BCCI and Dhoni did. One over doesnt define Ajmal. I agree, it doesnt. But he managed to bottle it at a crucial stage in the tournament.

ganeshran Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Till date, Shane Watson is IPL's greatest creation:hysterical: And players like Malinga, Gayle, Pollard have deserted international cricket. Deserted Malinga still plays for Lanka - he retired from test cricket. Gayle is not picked due to problems with the board. Pollard just isnt good enough
Rana Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 I agree' date=' it doesnt. But he managed to bottle it at a crucial stage in the tournament.[/quote'] He didnt bottle it, it was Afridi's dumb decision to bowl him. Ajmal believed he could do it when the tide was against him. The momentum was with Hussey, he capatalised! What about the game before? when he took us to the semis over a strong RSA side??
ganeshran Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Doesnt make it true if you say so. Ticket prices, Cost of TV spots, low stadium occupancy, hardly any international T20 players all say so.
