Sidhoni Posted October 15, 2011 Author Posted October 15, 2011 He is now at 198, and needs just 1 more dismissal to become the most successful keeper of India.

Wonder what his record had ben had he not dropped 4-5 catches and 1-2 stumping per innings!!
Trichromatic Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Kamran Akmal's stats: Kamran Akmal (Pak) 2002-2010 53 99 206 184 22 5 (5ct 0st) 2.080 He has the 2nd highest dismissal/innings after Gilchirst!! Wonder what his record had ben had he not dropped 4-5 catches and 1-2 stumping per innings!! Akmal was not always a bad keeper. He started dropping catches during last 1 or 2 years, I think.
Pagalpanti Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Its more to do with the fact that Pak fast bowlers got a lot of caught behind wickets. Also like Vibhash said he wasn't bad keeper until recent years.
Cricket Tragic Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Kamran Akmal's stats: Kamran Akmal (Pak) 2002-2010 53 99 206 184 22 5 (5ct 0st) 2.080 He has the 2nd highest dismissal/innings after Gilchirst!! Wonder what his record had ben had he not dropped 4-5 catches and 1-2 stumping per innings!! All these stats don't mean a lot because it depends on how many opportunities the bowlers create. They really should have the drop chances included in the stats for keepers. When Bob Taylor had that fantastic match in India in 1980, Boycott told him that it was no big **** because his mum would have caught them with her bread basket and it's about how many you drop as a keeper rather than how many you catch.
vamos_rafa Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 He may not be the best keeper around but 200 is a big number. :hatsoff:
Sidhoni Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 The stumping of Brathwaite was awesome to say the least
Sidhoni Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 5 dismissals in this innings so far.. :good:
