Why do we always struggle to get the tail enders out ?

Recommended Posts

I think one of the factors for us has been the retirement of Anil Kumble. He was a beast when it came to getting the tail enders with his googlies and flippers. Zak is another one who is good against the tail but he does not play that regularly. Also, the general standard of the batting of the tail has improved a lot as well. But, this is a general trend as well. What may work against a top order bat, may not work against a tail-ender. A case in point would be the Aus-Sa 2nd test. Dale Steyn was trying to bowl the same kind of line and length to the Aussie tail-enders and they finished the match.
