I am sorry to say' date=' but you are not mature enough to understand what it takes and means to excel - regardless of the playing field.[/quote'] Good way to try and ignore a losing cause. At least you have mastered the losing part of the life. :two_thumbs_up:

Yes and I guess it is very smart to declare yourself winner in the race you are participating in - talk about being delusional. What I stated is an observation - based on your arguments in this post, and I see most of folks, not high on teenage testosterone, would agree with me.

Does he cycle during the game? no... I exercise everyday to support my lifestyle and perform better in school and work. That doesn't mean i am a sports person :haha: what kinda BS is this?
Even Dhoni doesn't run around in a field most of the time. You don't get my point here; chess may not be a very physical sport, but it is demanding physically. Please do not compare your exercises to the regimes of chess champions. It requires a unique level of 'match fitness', and is not easy to attain. It is just not about being 'smart' the way you are putting it. A mind cannot function smoothly without a fit body, and you are undermining the preparations required for a world champion chess player. Comparing it with cooking and all that is really ridiculous.

If they have modified to accommodate Cricket, Hockey etc. they should modify to include Anand (Chess) also. "Chess is not sports" is very superficial reason to deprive Anand of well deserved Bharat Ratna
And what is wrong in the bold part? This award is based on achievements at highest level in chosen area. And I am correct in saying that it is superficial reason - that "Chess is not a sport, as per dictionary"..to devalue the achievements of Vishy. Unless you are trolling - you are behaving like a typical dumb teenager.

dude, what's wrong man? noting can and will devalue the achievements of vishy. So by saying that Chess is a sport, you are putting value on Vishy's name? that's obscure...and calling me not mature...seriously! at bold, personal attacks can't win you anything online keyboard warrier

Looks like you have been possessed by rett (by bolding selected text and replying with smilies), and rett, for a change, taking sense here. Look at how many people, more experienced than you, disagree with you here. Now go, buy some trophy and present to yourself, make a video recording and watch it over and over again.. and perhaps even get a Bharat Ratna for yourself.

transparent, Anand was the first recipient of The Khel Ratna Award. :winky:

Anand became India's first grandmaster in 1987.[1] He was also the first recipient of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 1991–92, India's highest sporting honor. In 2007, he was awarded India's second highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, making him the first sportsperson to receive the award in Indian history.

@transparent Time for you to log off, and come back after 10 years. Hint: you are trying to counter every other guy here, and no one is agreeing with your ridiculous reasoning.

Chess is a recognized sport by the International Olympic Committee with FIDE being the recognized International Sports Federation for chess since June 1999.versially having doping tests. The prospects of chess becoming an Olympic sporting event at some future date remain unclear. The naming of FIDE's team championship as the "Chess Olympiad" is of historical origin and implies no connection between this event and the Olympic Games.

Because you brought in - " as per oxford.. so and so.".. So I put one "by the way" remark... don't tell me that you don't understand the purpose of "by the way" remark in an argument.
