I have been watching and suffering as an England supporter for 45 years. In this team though I finally feel we have one with some grit and determination. We have had good sides over the years, but I think this side could be a great one JMHO

wobblydoggy Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I certainly expect them to takeover from India as World No.1 just not this series. :--D Some of that will be in the toss. Take Trent Bridge, if we can put you in there you could very quickly be 2-0 down. But 1-1 is just as likely. However, I think the strength of this side shocked some of your players. I would drop Harby for instance as you can see he hates batting against Tremlett with the lifting ball. All in all I think we will win

All in all I think we will win On the contrary, I would say that India was unprepared they expected England to be a tough side to beat. Harby shouldn't be in the team at all. As far as I am concerned the big takeaway from this test was knowing what the weaknesses of your top order is, now that we know we will keep plugging away at it for the rest of the series. One collapse somewhere like yesterday is all we need and we will be back in.

One collapse somewhere like yesterday is all we need and we will be back in. Collapses happen. But these days we bat in depth as you saw yesterday. Also collapses do not happen as often to this English side. I would be more worried about your side being knackered after all some of them are nearly ninety:--D
