prinzo Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I was watchin the cricket yesterday during the afternoon session and could not believe what i was seeing from Harbajhan Singh!!! He was slogging everything , 1.Did he not realize what situation his country is in ? 2. Why did Fletcher sit there like a Ranarunga and eat samoosas instead of giving advice. harbajhn should of tried to leave as many balls as possible and defend for a draw and give Raina support. Now my question is , did Fletcher actually tell Harbajhn to go and slog in that situation , because it is clearly to me that either one did not do their job in that situation , did Fletcher at least give advice to harbajhn , it does not take a brain scientist to understand how to play in that situation. I am not bashing Harbajahn , i am dissapointed the way he went about it. If gary Kirsten was there i dont think Harbajhn would bat like that in that situation. Harbajhn is a big boy he should have had brains also. India looks to be going downhill from here on end under Fletcher who justs sits there eating samoosas all day.
deepak_sach Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 LOL!We lost the first test vs SA in SA with a South African as the coach. So coach does not have anything to do with this. Having said that Fletcher must not get the credit if India wins the next test.

darkknight Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Did Tendulkar really say that On a completely different note, i re read an article by Gary Kirsten just now and was intrigued by some thing. Tendulkar apparently said to Gary 'Will you be my friend' when gary took over the job to coach Indian team. I just keep repeating this in my mind, Tendulkar saying this and wondered how Gary might have responded. :nervous:

If yes, let me alert you, tomorrow they are coming up with new show in which they have promised to show that Tendulkar and Kirsten were seen playing snakes and ladders and Tendulkar volunteered to give Kirsten the first chance to roll the dice.

I read it in an interview of his where he mentioned that when he became the coach right after the whole Chappell fiasco, Tendulkar had asked him to be a friend to him. Apparently Tendulkar's wife even thanked him after they won the world cup for "being a friend".
