Cricket Tragic Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Forget Nasser,this is what our former captain Saurav Ganguly had to say on AAJ TAK(Hindi news channel) about this series : India will be truly no.1 if they win the seriies here as well as the series in Aus ,but if England wins the series ,they will be deserving no.1 coz they have already beaten Aus in Aus. Our great Dada forgot Poms also have to win in sub-continent to deserve the no.1 tag.Some of his recent comments about our no.1 ranking has really pissed me off,dont know what is he trying to prove. P.S : Nasser Hussain once a moron ,always a moron :finger: Did he really say that or was he misquoted? :hmmm:

England is only good as long as they play in seaming, damp conditions where the bowl swings & bounces...We all saw how well they fared in the sub continent's spinning dry wickets... Indians, SL & Pakis play most of their cricket in spinning brown tops..so obviously will struggle more in bouncy green tops... Likewise since the English play more in Green Tops they struggles in spinning sub continent wickets the obvious question is..which should be considered the better side or batsmen when it comes to handling bounce or spin ? Why should we consider batsmen as better if they can handle bounce well ? Is a batsmen who can handle spin well.. a lesser batsmen than the former ? i think batsmen who can handle spin well is a better batsmen as foot work plays a grate part when handling spin well...how often have we seen these English batsmen staying rooted to the crease and getting out when playing in spinning sub continent wickets ? Doesnt spin make a batter batsmen when taking foot work, technique, quick feet, good wrists in to account ? he has to be a more skilled batsmen than a bastman who is just good at facing bounce ... So england is not the best test side as they are **** in sub continent spinning conditions..India is yet to prove against Swing & bounce and in damp conditions...so is SL & PAkis So in my view, the best test team should be a team that can win in both the extreme conditions... in places like england/Newzealand as well as in the subcontinent... In that regard i still think Aus & SA are better all around teams than India & England..where both England & india are the best teams in their favored conditions but r not as good in conditions that they do not like

At least think before saying anything. Just because you want to know, India has played 10 matches outside subcontinent during this period. This is more than even SA's total of 8 matches outside their home.

I definitely think we could outbowl them But our batting lineup is undergoing a major rehaul and it might take a while for AB to find his feet as captain, whereas England is very settled Still, on a tailored South African pitch, I would imagine we could show the emmigrants just what they're missing
