Are you saying Janata party has never won anything:hysterical: As far as I know, Janata party was main opposition party during emergency and it successfully came to power in late 1970s and Morarjee Desai and Charan singh was PMs from Janata Party. In fact Swamy has been union ministers several times! I understand that the popularity of Janata party was so high during the emergency era that a hardcore tam like Swamy has contested from UP and won several times. Oh Puhleezz.. the "Janata Party" that Swamy heads today has got nothing to do with the Janata Party of yesteryear, except that it shares the same name. Anyone claiming otherwise is denial of the ground reality. Swamy is a political orphan and failure and has been so, for many years now. The political party and movement that he heads now is a complete, unmitigated disaster.

You should have seen the look on her face. :hysterical: However the article in itself is bull in many respects. There are many in India that look at Islam as a threat to its very existence, and their solution literally always (like Subramaniam Swamy here) is to turn India into a hindu nation. This is demented. Uniformity in our society is important, but that should take the form of rights, priviledges and empowerment, not this religious bullcrap.
