Their bottom 4-5 are far superior to their top 6-7.

if we had zaheer and bhaji back in form, it wouldnt be an issue, zaheer is good at cleaning the tail and spinners have a tendancy to do it, unfortunately none of them ar at their best or in good form currently!

We have traditionally sucked at taking the tail out. So any tail performance against us should be looked at suspiciously.

easily the best in the world . & they have already made the difference . First test ( 270/5 to 470 & then 120/6 to 280/6) . our top oder did better than Englands , but we still lost by 190 runs . & today 120/8 to 221 ? I hope Tremlett plays .

wouldnt go that far , but I can see us getting England 5/6 down early more often in the series ..Cook looks avg , Strauss is alright but looks out of form , KP will always be hit and miss ..if Bell & Morgan fail in the second innings , they will have to bring in Bopara in ..not one batsmen who worries me atm ...but the Broads & Bresnans are going to be pain

Kumble is being sorely missed here! Heck even an average spinner like "muskles" Raju would have been better than "large" dart singh.

Just bounce and hit their fricking heads and york them :P Go around the wicket to broad once in a while...change angles....have to keep trying something while keeping the line and length simple enough!

They do look strong and have been doing well in the last 12-18 months. But even our own lower order has done some amazing things recently including the win in 3rd test vs SL in 2010 when Mishra and Mithun added over 80 runs for the 8th wcket, Ishant a tMohali, those twin 100s by Bhajji vs NZ, Zaheer's knock vs SA at Durban, Zaheer and Bhajji vs SA at Cape Town, Bhajji's knock against WI at Kingston etc.

They have the best lower order in the world definitely.Somebody mentioned while commentating that if any player has to get into the England side, he has to work upon his batting.

Well the player coming at number 9 for England has a highest score of 169 and number 10 has an average of almost 25. That certainly tells you how strong their lower order is. They have the ability to take game away from the opposition, just like how they did it yesterday. Their 1 hour batting after tea yesterday could prove to be a turning point in this match. Although they can't be very consistent always but certainly can't be ignored while talking about England's batting.
