To answer your question in the OP no. I don't think any sensible person would have thought it would be a walkover for India particularly when they are playing an away series.

We miss gambhir in this test match as welll. Zak and sehwag are india's biggest match winners. We miss them badly. Tremlet's injury is blessing in disguise i would say.

It adjusts its abilities to the level of the competitor and then tries to play a little bit better. More often than not,the team needs a kick on the backside to start things rolling. So no,even if India was playing WI with a full strength side,I wouldn't have expected utter domination or easy wins. Its just not in our character. Think Sampras Vs Federer. Agassi said that against Sampras if you played badly or great he still won 6-4 6-4 6-4 Against Federer if you play badly he defeats you 6-0 6-0 6-0

Sehwag has a history of scoring when other in the team have failed.

Why should people look at pigs and cockroaches as filthy animals, they too have personalities.
