Better we regroup after the series, get rid of the passengers from the team and have a fully fit squad for the tour down under. If we do well there, we can get our no 1 ranking back or give these condescending English bozos a run for their money atleast.

One hour of Viru's batting in the 3rd tests first morning will be enough to lift the mood in the camp. Let's try and show some fight in the next days of this test and then use the 7 days gap to reflect , prepare and then put up a better show in the last 2 tests.

We at least need to finish the Test series with a 2-1 loss and get some pride back.

punjabiplaya Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 i dont think people realise thats the main reason we are number one is cos of sehwag n ghambirs opening partnerships... if your openers are always putting 100 plus starts or decent starts it makes it easier for people like david laxy n sachin to score,then dhonis captaincy,this tour withstanding has been the best indias had ever,crap in england,but without sehwag n zak,we are not number 1 material!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Though he was Fit at that time' date=' here he is not.[/quote'] thats fair enough, he got 150 on the flattest of australian wickets. dont get me wrong, im a HUGE veeru fan. in asia and on reasonably flat tracks, i dont think there is a better test batsman to make an opposition pay and work all day for their wickets. however, in SA and Eng, he is not a gamechanger. even more so against one of the best english attacks of all time as much as it pains me, and it ***ing hurts alot to say this because i would rather lose to pakistan than england, england are a better test side than india. they are miles ahead of everyone right now. and the real danger is that when SRT,RD and VVS go, they would probably win in india too, seeing as swann is A+

CG Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 This. if we have 4 fit bowlers we will take 20 wickets ,it is not a problem ,the real problem has been our batting we have yet to cross 300 in the series even though we have got best of conditions to bat. Tendulkar skipped west indies tour,no matter how great you are still you need some time in the middle andengland bowling attack is not express either who can run through sides on good conditions.batting has let india down till now
