lameduck Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Coming from a Sri Lankan fan. His stats prove that he's an excellent Test batsman. And he was one of the successes in the West Indies tour along with Rahul Dravid. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/player/34102.html nyjbmrRBqPg&feature=related
akshayxyz Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Does not make sense.. Rohit is middle order, Mukund is opener. Once Sehwag and Gambhir are back, none of those two are needed in the playing XI.
Temujin Khaghan Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 rohit is better than raina, yuvi technique wise.
Yoda-esque Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 No-Its a knee jerk reaction.Let Mukund play one full series. Why am I replying to this thread?
Temujin Khaghan Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 actually you spoiled a potentially good discussion with the thread title @mods - can you please change the title to "Should India recall rohit for test middle order" (no.6)
Temujin Khaghan Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 if you thought that since rohit hit 80 in a T20 match, he can play test cricket then you are a pervert lol
Blue Panther Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Never knew rohit was an opening batsman. How stupid i was:facepalm:
lameduck Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 if you thought that since rohit hit 80 in a T20 match' date=' he can play test cricket then you are a pervert lol[/quote'] I am sorry. I was just trying to put a video into the thread. It's ok if u don't agree. Rohit has played as opening bat before. Where ever he plays. He deserves his chance. No point in praising useless Mukund. If he plays again. India will lose 3-0.
deepak_sach Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Anyone who bats could score more runs than Mukund?Useless FTB..
Midfielder Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Absolutely not. He has been selected for the full tour and he stays.
Yoda-esque Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Anyone who bats could score more runs than Mukund?Useless FTB.. Hey I thought you were a Mukund fan?
deepak_sach Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Hey I thought you were a Mukund fan? Who told.I felt sorry for Mukund.Because i am from the same state does not mean i must like him.Only player i like from TN is Ashwin....
Yoda-esque Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Who told.I felt sorry for Mukund.Because i am from the same state does not mean i must like him.Only player i like from TN is Ashwin.... Oh Ok..Perhaps I misunderstood
Stuge Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 only Opener can replace opener . Rohit will make things worse if not better .
lameduck Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 only Opener can replace opener . Rohit will make things worse if not better . Sehwag is back. Ghambir will his partner. Someone has to be injured or something like that to replace a player mid - series. So I am not sure if India need any new fast bowlers even if Zaheer's out. So called world's best batting lineup is what let them down in both the tests.
Cricket Tragic Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Sehwag and Gambhir will be back. So we don't need a replacement.
Texan Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I don't think it will be permitted unless somebody's injured. I definitely think Rohit is a better batsman than Raina and Yuvraj for tests. Even Rahane is a better choice. This would be my ideal top 6: Sehwag Gambhir Dravid Tendulkar Laxman R Sharma/Rahane

Cricket Tragic Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I love how you've put up a video of some useless T20 match to make your point about picking him as a test opener.
