On a serious note Sehwag makes such a huge difference to this side. With him coming back pressure will ease on middle order. Dravid is the main man as I predicted but Sachin needs this 100th ton monkey off his back. Yuvraj was a sorry sight today and needs to be replaced by sharma who should be given a long run at 6. I can see him move up the order in due course. Laxa is a class act but is making a habit of throwing it away by lack in concentration.

On the radio Michael Vaughan was saying that Gambhir should have played as his injury was not that bad and you need to be able to take some pain for the good of the team. Apparently he saw Gambhir jumping around and running and seemed fine. Not sure what to make of it but part of me does think Gambhir should have tried to play and helped the team through a difficult phase.

I don't know about the seriousness of this injury (could be true), but for a specialist batsman, Gambhir gets injured far too often. Missed 3-4 Tests last year, already missed 4 Tests this year and I can't even remember the ODIs. At 29, he's hardly ancient either.

Abhi toh kahna mushkil hai ,but the way India batted in windies was already a warning sign which India ignored

If we look at age of our batsmen then it is obvious that 1 or 2 batsmen will always miss in test matches.Not scoring more than 322 in any of the innings in west indies which has poor quality of bowling attack clearly shown us that our batting is getting very weak.Even in this test match England's 3rd bowler is not even a quality test bowler ,yet he took his first 5 wicket haul against us.

We have the youngsters who are good enough such as Pujara and Rohit Sharma who can play short balls well. But they have to get more opportunities. BTW, were u referring to Rohit in your earlier post?

Yes I was. Rohit is by far the most talented young Indian batsman who has lots of time to play his shots which is sign of a player who can play pace with ease. He should have been in the side.

2nd new ball has been the disaster in England. currently Nobody in lower order has technique to face new ball. I feel laxman was playing up in the order or too early. if somehow top 4 can take it to 60-70 overs then Laxman can see through the 2nd new ball , which would've helped. Now with the help of regular openers and goddy contributing bit more we can do that. At least 2 times in 4 innings.
