How to Get Prior out?

This guy is in form of his life. The way he came out other day and walked across to play some unbelievable shots, completely demoralized our team. He did same to Srilanka. Srilanka were able to get 5 wickets quickly but this guy and lower order changed the game for them. He is such a good form, even good deliveries on offstump, he is scoring boundaries. If you see him in 2007, he was completely out of form then, used to be walking wicket, but times have changed. How can we get him out?? I am sure our think tank must be thinking about it. we haven't tried to bounce him..and also he may have problem reading leggie.

He got roughed up by Siddle in Aus. Sharma could possibly try and do the same thing but Sharma is so inconsistent he could get hit around the park. Sharma is capable of roughing up opponents with the short ball. He did it to Aus in India last year and troubled Jayawardene on a fairly flat track in Sri Lanka.

The guy is a completely mediocre bat. All you need to do is bowl straight to him, and not give him any width. His favourite shots are through the offside. Ishant should bowl straight to him, on off and middle stump, with a leg side dominated field.

Prior is not all that good. If our "spinner" had done his job, prior should have been pwned in this series. No point in moaning over this.

lol' date=' medioce with the bat is your bum boy Dhoni, infact maybe he is worse than mediocre.[/quote'] I'm not debating that. lol. Dhoni is in atrocious form atm, I would probably say though Prior in form vs Dhoni in form - I'd take Dhoni any day even though Prior is the better keeper.

Dhoni being in form is just when he gets on the flattest pitches in the world' date=' he sucks and has been exposed for what he is.[/quote'] Maybe... give him time though. Let's see at the end of the series. Also one question for you... why do India win on these flat pitches yet other teams can't? Obviously if it's flat it must be just as easy for opposing teams to bat out a draw on then, right? or is this simply a case of - "when India bat it's a flat pitch, when we bat, the pitch is turning a mile omg!" Let's stop with the double standards. Yes they are more batter friendly, but if India are still winning on them, they can't be that flat.

Serani why are you trolling here? This is not a Prior v/s Dhoni thread. If you want that discussion you are free to create a new thread rather than derailing this one.

lol' date=' medioce with the bat is your bum boy Dhoni, infact maybe he is worse than mediocre.[/quote'] if you are comparing one guys good form with one guys bad form then I can say same thing. Prior was worse then mediocre in 2007 series, head to head. Dhoni outclassed him then. I thought you are an intelligent poster.

Someone who does not have the technique to bat in test cricket but a very good ODI batsman and one of the best captain's of all time who has led his country to being test number 1 as well as winning almost everything there is to win in the shorter form of the game.

Like most English players' date=' Prior can be sorted out by quality spin bowling. the problem is - we dont have an inform spinner, nor is the pitch friendly to spin.[/quote'] This. He seems to be playing our pacers very easily. Our pacers haven't bowled well to him either. But I think maybe spinners can trouble him.

Prior is good batsman ,But fact is when he has come our bowlers have been always tired and we are a bowler short ,but when he played the new ball in 1st innings of 2nd test he struggled,His main strokes are cut to point we have to ball full at his off stump and ball a few bouncers as he and Mr Bell are complusive hookers

Why does Dhoni suddenly go "out of form" when he is batting on anything other than a road?
as english team goes out of form when they visit india or srilanka, every batsman is used to home conditions and dhoni has scored well in last tour of england do not forget .got close to century in southafrica too.
