If this bangladeshi team played in 60s and 70s they would won some games for sure. Those days flair was enough to win some games. These days you need flair and method to win games. No wonder Pakistan is struggling as well. India can go that route if we are not careful in our planning. So far we have planned it well in terms of support staff, academies etc.

To produce a decent quality cricket team, you need a good domestic structure with proper coaching from sub junior level. Because the game is more expensive to play than Soccer and also tougher to learn the basics and details. That's why India, SL and Pak took a while to produce a quality team and its harder for new countries to produce a good team. Same with Bangladesh. The important thing is there is a lot of interest and passion for cricket in Bangladesh which will always produce talent. I think its just a matter of time before we see a decent quality Bangladesh test side provided they are groomed and managed well.

Agree with it that's why I am comparing BD with Zimbabwe .Just google the political conditions of Zim in 2000s and you will know that what kind of horrible situation Zimbabwe has been.If the Zimbabwe have been prosperous like South Africa they could easily have been one of the top team of world

Also this is not about a single day.Please tell me what kind of players you have produced which have created fear in opposition .Barring Shakib al hasan no other player look good to me. No fast bowlers,swingers,spinners ,batsmen

Feeel that bangladesh could improve if they play more overseas tours to good quality teams.Playing tournaments with zimbabwe wont help you learn much.(im not saying dont play them but also play other teams).More players should play in english counties so that the can improve thier technique.Also playing away tours against A teams of strong countries more fequently also helps.Just my opinion.

I think BD fans are over reacting. You guys haven't made any notable strides in Test Cricket, but in ODIs and 20-20 you are pretty much up there with the rest. Your side has the capability to beat any other ODI and 20-20 side on a given day. I saw a few of your games this WC. Speaking from an ODI perspective, Tamim is kind of taken for granted. Thugh he didn't do much in this WC. If he was made to feel insecure about his position, maybe he would start producing the required results.

I think this world cup was the best chance for bangladesh to show the world that they are a top team especially in home conditions.It was their inconsistency that cost them the wc.

Both India and windies mauled them which killed their run rate and windies with same points qualified.No other good team would have allowed it

They lost to india but i thought they came back well against ireland and england.But just when they looked good they got mauled by WI.I think Bangladesh need a better pace bowling attack.They emphasise too much on spin.They sometimes bowl 40 of the 50 ovrs with spinners.This might be an attacking option in Bangladesh but you need to have a more multi dimentional attack to do well oversees and on a consistent basis.They need better fast bowlers and for me except Masrafee no one else seems to be potent in all conditions.

Does Bangladesh have any upcoming young fast bowler?thats what they need not another left arm spinner.

They were about to loose against Ireland as Ireland only required 55 runs in 80 balls with 5 wickets in hand.Their only acheivement was against England but that win too came by narrow margin.In tournaments where run rate matter you cannot afford to loose by big margin and win by narrow margin

I dont know why you are too critical.Give them more time and exposure.You have a world class alrounder an attacking opener and a quality spinner.Only thing missing is an attacking fast bowler and maybe another good middle order bat.How good is mahmudullah as a batsman?he performed well against india.

Mahmudullah is the kind of test batsman we need, had a test century in kiwiland...and with a bradmanesque average in home series against ind in 2010......got an avergae of 37....and its likely he'll better his avergae than the present one...he's been one of the more consistent performers in our doemstic first class competition...

They have been happy with small achievements among big disasters, so they will never get past the small achievements among big disasters.[/quote'] bro...that was the case maybe a couple of years back....things are no longer the same.....our cricketers are nowadays no dofferent than the stardom indian cricketers enjoy in thier country....sponsors, ad shoots....money....they've got it all.....after some good encouraging peroformances beginning from 2010, they've all had a meteoric rise in terms of celebrity status....the same way...fans have also raised their expectations cause they expect them to perform like world class stars...but the fact is we havent reached there yet...trust me, thats the only reason why we collapsed like 58 ao and 78 ao...i mean i cant explain u guys what was the burden like.....indian cricket team is blessed to have cricketers like tendulkar, yuvraj....they've seen it all, and have learnt...for us, it was a first kind of experience....hopefully, they'll learn, just like how india learnt after coming so close yet so far, like in 1996, and 2003.....
