Cricketics Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 :hatsoff: so which apt/location did you go for? Found a good place to stay for one night or perhaps two. Depending how many times I have to return back to my home location iN Maryland. So I haven't really decided how long I would be staying in Ny for. Definately First whole week. The 2nd week isn't sure yet. So didn't book for the 2nd week yet. This is my intinerary 29th - 2nd sept - 2 DAYS Off free stay in Holiday Inn through USTA memebership. 2 days I will be using that location which I found through airbnb.com Last day haven't really booked anything yet. 3rd sept - Back in MD FOR CRICKET 4th Sept - In MD FOR CRICKET later night on 4th leave for NY again 5th - 11th sept - Have to still decide.
WestieBuckeye Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Cricketics, I stayed at the Howard Johnson in North Bergen, NJ once. They have a shuttle service that drops you off in NYC and picks you up from the same location at various times. They also offer discounts if you stay there for at least 2 nights. The service was pretty good. Check it out http://www.hojo.com/HowardJohnson/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=13379

Cricketics Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 bada shaukeen aadmi hain' date=' going to NY to watch tennis....how do u get time man[/quote'] My job isn't perhaps like you guys who have to be dedicated to a company througout the year and can only manage a 2 week vacation throught out year. Downsides for me are that I have to sometimes work on Saturday. Sometimes, but I can often get offs when I want. Have to give 3 week advance notice to them. My manager is a Sardarji who's livign here from 40+ years. Very cool dude and ofcourse there is a Gora manager too who's also cool. Also about shaukeen. Well I have been tennis maniac every since my dad used to watch wimbledon tournametns which used to air on tv in India back in 90s. He doesn't watch much now a days, but somehow I became big tennis fan. It's fun experience to visit different courts and being in the Tennis park all day. Actually from past 3-4 years, I have became a bit more maniac about tennis than I ever was.
