nsareen Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 "Their attack is one of the easiest you could face, and without Zaheer Khan England could have picked another top six from county cricket and still done pretty well. This is what Vaughan had to say about indian bowling lineup, in this article http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/series-tournaments/india-in-england/top-stories/Bopara-should-stop-idolising-Tendulkar-Vaughan/articleshow/9576192.cms
Desi Cartman Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 and this same #1 ranked Batting line up keeps losing to India in India :phehehe:
daryl1985 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 and this same #1 ranked Batting line up keeps losing to India in India :phehehe: India have not faced "this team" at home yet. It could be a hard fought series. We struggled to beat New Zealand at home last year.
Cricket Tragic Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 India have not faced "this team" at home yet. It could be a hard fought series. We struggled to beat New Zealand at home last year. And it's likely that this England team won't face our strongest team at home either since the return tests are at the end of next year.
rkt.india Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 India have not faced "this team" at home yet. It could be a hard fought series. We struggled to beat New Zealand at home last year. India faced just about the similar team in 2008. Very few changes since then.
Cricket Tragic Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 England didn't disgrace themselves in 2008. They dominated in Chennai and made us chase down the highest score on the SC and drew in Mohali. They got destroyed in the ODIs though.
Karan114 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 India faced just about the similar team in 2008. Very few changes since then. Actually there are a few changes - Trott, Finn and Bresnan have come through after that tour, and Tremlett only became a regular last year. Also, people like Anderson, Bell, Cook and Prior have become much better players since then. Under Andy Flower, their preparation is absolutely meticulous and their fitness is way, way better. No comparison with the 2008 side.
CG Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 We have heard it many times, we are un beaten for three years with the same team, have won in eng,nz drawn in sl and sa and came close in aus ,our batting failed us this time .
saneindian Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Vaughan is still bitter about our 2007 series win that precipited the end of his cricketing career. Has been OTT with his tweets, perhaps also trying to rile up the Indian fans who have been abusing him non stop.
ensd2 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 In india , we can't bet them their batting line up is too strong : everyone can bat 1-10 so its gonna be high scoring draw
CG Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 In india it spins and ball reverse swingas so tailenders find it difficult and english batsman go to shell against spin, they would struggle against pak in slow tracks in abudhabi let alone in india if we prepare turners it will be 4-0
Rahul Dravid Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 We have heard it many times' date=' we are un beaten for three years with the same team, have won in eng,nz drawn in sl and sa and came close in aus ,our batting failed us this time .[/quote'] and what has our bowling done?
Dhoni_fan Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 In india it spins and ball reverse swingas so tailenders find it difficult and english batsman go to shell against spin' date=' they would struggle against pak in slow tracks in abudhabi let alone in india if we prepare turners it will be 4-0[/quote'] Totally agree! England are good and their bowling is perfectly suited to their own conditions but over in India it is a different story reverse swing and spinning ball, we could play 2 spinners and that would give us a realistic shot of taking 20 wickets while we play spin very well. I certainly think we would beat England in India by how much I am not sure!
CG Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Won us games all those games mate, we are only team who has defended every 300+ target in last 6 years
vamos_rafa Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Won us games all those games mate' date=' we are only team who has defended every 300+ target in last 6 years[/quote'] That's what we know bhai. For the whole world and to some of the illiterate fans, all India has done is whatever they did in this series. Leave it. Noone would realize that India has been the team of the last decade or atleast of the latter half.
