We are a better side. There is no doubt about that. Its just that our players couldnt acclamatise (Courtesy BCCI). Injuries at key stages didnt help us. India with fully fit and acclamatised side is still way better then dodgy ECBs made up English team

I disagree. Why, well this side are younger, meaner, hungrier than your greats. Yes they were great, but they are now on the downslope IMHO

Come on man... One series win at home and one Ashes.... Thats all the great achievement this side has. And who is young there :hmmm: Trott? or KP? or Strauss?

He is correct. They have a younger and fitter team. Normally they should reign at No.1 longer than us. Our team is definitely declining, no doubt about it.

Dont you forget the thrashing Aussies gave after ashes in ODI series. They werepreparing for world cup.... Indian team is coming after a world cup victory and IPL. So English have been a bit lucky with fixtures

Yeas I agree that few of outr batsmen are a bit aged. BUt realistically, you dont get a Tendulkar or Dravid so often.

U mean' date=' we have to face this torture for another two series....:nervous:[/quote'] I cannot see Sachin getting dropped or Dravid and why would they be. Harby is over the hill and so is Khan so time for them to hang up their test boots. I think Khan will be your biggest loss, but will still play one dayers. Still it does not matter because we are only going to get better:--D

This may very well be the case but that doesn't obscure the reality that we have a team past its expiry date. They have done well and brought us years of pleasure and glory. Stood up to the mighty aussies, WC and became World No.1, so no complaints.

Yes, you are right about English team losing in the subcontinent. Not sure how the ranking works, but definitely these 2 series ( and perhaps the pakistan series too ) English will lose. And its going to be fun seeing the reaction of English media and the fans. And one bold statement from the Indian side would infuriate them no ends and they will be cry babies for the whole series...We have seen that too often :)
