podi wije Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Former England captain Geoffrey Boycott has questioned India's plummeting No 1 Test status, calling Mahendra Singh Dhoni's squad a "shadow of an average team". Down 0-2 in the series, and struggling to save the third Test, India will lose the world No 1 tag to England if the lose the ongoing Test at Edgbaston. "If you are looking for competitive cricket, you are not going to find it in this Test match. England are delivering good stuff with intensity and good professionalism but they are playing an Indian side that I do not recognise," the former England opener wrote in an analytical piece for Daily Telegraph. "The question everybody keeps asking is how the hell did India get to number one in the world playing like this? "They look a shadow of even an average team. The bowlers try hard but are military medium and the fielding at times is so unathletic, it beggars belief. There are players walking around just waiting for the close of play and expecting England to win the game," Boycott added.:hysterical: http://www.rediff.com/cricket/slide-...r/20110812.htm
Ultimate_Game Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Obviously he didn't watch much cricket over the last few years.
Lord Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 just like England have done,by wiining matches,we won in England in 2007,England last won a series in India in ...............?
amiret Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 he also says this is a "no contest" and the test at edgbaston seems like a "charity match"
Ultimate_Game Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 he also says this is a "no contest" and the test at edgbaston seems like a "charity match" I am glad Pakis are having such a great time :--D For us well the worst is that we lost a series in 3 years, still are the World Champs after kicking Paki @$$ as usual on the way :haha: I am sure we will manage quite well and it's enough to say that our lowest point in the last few years is still much much higher than most other teams including Pakistan :hysterical:
wobblydoggy Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 just like England have done' date='by wiining matches,we won in England in 2007,England last won a series in India in ...............?[/quote'] Only because the rain saved you
Yoda-esque Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 he also says this is a "no contest" and the test at edgbaston seems like a "charity match" You have shown your hand my friend..
amiret Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 You have shown your hand my friend.. which hand ?
Lord Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Only because the rain saved you really?we'd have still won the series.remember we had Ist innings lead of 300+ at the Oval.Dravid didnt enforce the follow on,he obviously would've if series was level. leaving that aside, pls tell me wen u last won a series in India.I dont have too distant memory
Ultimate_Game Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Only because the rain saved you If rain hadn't "saved" us in the 1st Test we would have pushed for a win in the 3rd Test. Of course selective amnesia is a trait shared by English fans :hysterical:
Karan114 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 You have shown your hand my friend.. He showed it ages ago - these padosi trolls like amiret are so obvious
Ultimate_Game Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 He showed it ages ago - these padosi trolls like amiret are so obvious Amazing they actually pose as Indians to do so :hysterical: Just like they do in US and all over the world - posing as Indians to get some respect from others :haha: So they apparently have "larger" hearts but no shame :giggle:
Yoda-esque Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 He showed it ages ago - these padosi trolls like amiret are so obvious I have now seen some of his previous posts.:winky: Can't blame him, can we? Their entire existence is built on watching others rather than themselves. Ah well, I guess the mods will let him have his fun before kicking him out eventually.
amiret Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 padosi? :haha: yes anyone who mocks India's brilliant performance in England has to be a Paki .
Ultimate_Game Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 padosi? :haha: yes anyone who mocks India's brilliant performance in England has to be a Paki . Nope. Anyone who poses as an Indian when he clearly isn't just to get some respect and credibility sure is :--D No matter what you say about other fans, they still come here and show up as their team's fans and don't "claim" some other nationality. This trait is unique to Pakis and you can't blame them. You go anywhere in US and you will see Pakis posing as Indians or branding their shops as "Indian" stores. Really pity you guys as it must be hard to actually call yourself an "Indian" even though you hate them and what it must be doing to your self-respect and esteem. By the way last part was rhetorical in nature as I don't expect you to know what self-repect and esteem means :cantstop:
Yoda-esque Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Wheres Mishra-ji ? Our in-house interrogation expert ?
Sarkar Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Nope. podi wije Posted August 13, 2011 Author Posted August 13, 2011 seem like Geoffrey Boycott was right at the end of the day.
wobblydoggy Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 really?we'd have still won the series.remember we had Ist innings lead of 300+ at the Oval.Dravid didnt enforce the follow on,he obviously would've if series was level. leaving that aside, pls tell me wen u last won a series in India.I dont have too distant memory when we visit in 2012 and make it 8-0
