England targeting 2015 World Cup

Recommended Posts

Eng win the world cup :haha: They had their chance in 70s and 80s when there were few teams at the top (basically just 3 - WI, Aus & Eng) and they held the tourney at home. They couldn't get it done then and won't see them do anything special in a world tourney in the future either. The best they can hope for is bi-lateral series victories as they don't have it in them to win a world title just like SA.

Nothing wrong in saying that. We also were humiliated at the hands of Bangaladesh in 2007. And around that time only senior folks, coach etc. started dreaming for 2011. A big positive for them is, most of their key players are going to be around in 2015. But one of the negative is, they have peaked (in tests though) a bit too soon. It is very likely for them to have started their way down - by that time. Also, SA, India, OZ, perhaps SL too are going to improve from here.

Babu Moshai we are talking about England not India who have a pathetic record in crunch tournaments.

I expect an Indian repeat in 2015. No way will england win - they're an awful ODI side. (Ireland AND Bangladesh?)
